    Ogre kingdoms; 1k campaing list.

    Fantasy Army: OK
    hey all, my friend has convinced me to start playing fantasy again. to get me back into the game a campaign has been set up, it is tile based and the rules for list building are as follows;

Points values- Game is initially played at 1000 points plus campaign bonuses.
    Limitations
Characters 1 ( hero) (May not be a wizard)
    2 Special units
    1 rare unit
    No core restrictions
    No skirmishers without mountain
    1 war machine
    1 monster
1 magic item worth 30 points.

so i looked for an army to play and came across Ogres, and straight away fell in love with them. my army went like this.

Bruiser- great weapon, heavy Armour and big name Death cheater.
    5 iron guts- full command
    6 ogres- bellower
    4 Leadbelchers- bellower
    1 stone horn- harpoon launcher.
    Total; 997points
i had a lot of success with this army, i won 4 out of 4 games.

after a few turns in the campaign and some territories taken i managed to get an increase on my army size to 1,100 points and i captured a wizard tower allowing me to take a level 1 or 2 wizard, and now i am allowed to change my army. for this i have come up with:
fire belly- level 2, great weapon
    9 iron guts- full command
    6 leadbelchers- bellower
    stone horn - harpoon launcher.

wondering what people think of this list. please C&C constructively.

    Tim.

I think your first list is better than the second one. I honestly believe that even if you fought a 1100pt list, the first one would do better than the second.
This is because you're losing an entire bull unit. I'd spend your extra 100pts on an irongut and a leadbelcher and you could really leave it there. If you want to make your bruiser into a firebelly then I'd keep him level 1. There's not much advantage to the extra level really. The breath attack will be nice.

The main reason i have taken the level two fire belly s because i am te only person in the camaping to havea wizard due to te wizard tower. With this i have magic superiority so i should havea huge advatage over my opponents. I do like yhe first list but i think tht i would give te bulls full.comand and then bulk up the ironguts ad leadbelchers.

The Firebelly is a competent combatant(say that five times quick) as well as a Wizard. I wouldn't change the rest of your army up so much though. If you could leave the IG at 5-6 and Leadbelchers at 4, then be sure and have a second combat unit in Bulls, I think you would find the list more versatile.

I have been reluctanto feild alot of bulls, this is mainly because i think ironguts are alot better. They seem to kill alot more and ogres hve really low inititive any way, so theywill be hiting second in most cases, so why not have them woth the great weapon and heavy armour??
