1: Can Wind Blast be used to push units off the table? And if yes are the unit then dead or does it come back in next round?

A unit of clanrats is fighting a unit of halberdies and a general on a griff. The halberdiers are killed, and the general is all alone. In the following rounds of combat, what do I do? Does the general "slide" in to get into combat with more rats or what?

2. Either unit may combat reform across the get more models into combat. Note the term 'may'.

The faq states that a unit pushed to the edge of the board by wind blast stops and just takes hits as if it had been pushed into an obstacle or impassable terrain as per the spells card.
