Being a collector of Wood Elves and getting bored of hide and run tactics and painting lots and lots of green/brown I decided to start my second army... Vampire Counts!
Realising I would need A LOT of models I decided to look around for bargains, for example, my first VC purchase was ~75 Zombies, ~75 Skeletons, Corpse Cart, Book + Magic Cards that I managed to pick up for a whopping £70. As a result, I bought a lot of models for a relatively modest sum, but it also meant that with regards to eBay bids I put bids left right and centre on the off chance I'd get a bargain and I've now ended up with a massive army, most of which is poorly painted or not at all.
As a result, my VC army looks like this;
Heroes and Lords;
Count Mannfredd
Winged Vampire
2 Necromancers
Wight King
Cairn Wraith
Core;
20 Crypt Ghouls
~75 Zombies
~75 Skeletons
Special;
10 Black Knights
5 Hexwraiths
Corpse Cart
3 Vargheists
3 Spirit Hosts
20 Grave Guard... got another 30, make that 50 in total!
Rare;
Mortis Engine
Terrorgheist
Varghulf
I still intend on adding a few more things, but for the most part, this log is to help keep me painting as there is so much there and I normally slow up on things, in fact, as I'm typing this I'm meant to be revising for an exam tomorrow but you get the idea that my attention span is probably inferior when compared to a kitten.
I decided I would use the Cairn Wraith and Count Mannfred to help me choose a design as I personally love the Mannfred model and the Cairn Wraith was to make sure the colours I chose would work on other things.
So without further ado, here is the start of my VC army!
C + C always appreciated and welcomed! (for the record, I am undecided on bases, which is why they are all black!)

I was pretty happy with how the colours came out, I decided I'd use a red and black theme to carry through to the rest of the army. Here is the Cairn Wraith, again I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
