    Space Marine shoot from rhino question.

    If a squad of say plague marines shoots two plasma guns out of a rhinos top hatch and rolls 1's to hit will they still have to roll to save from the "gets hot" rule?

    The model is still firing the gun, so yes gets hot still applies.

    If any of them die we get to the part we have no rules for. Do they have to roll morale, and if they do what happens when they fail?

    You hope the squad is 9+ so that the 1-2 gets hot casualties doesn't cause a morale check and crash the game...

    Or that they make their FNP checks, so again avoid the morale check.

    Well in this case there is no morale to worry about, plague marines are fearless.

    If it was an IG squad however...who knows.

    Also would they still be able to shoot 24" if the the rhino moves 6"?! Sorry im new to 40k.

    See page 66, FIRE POINTS, third paragraph regarding passengers shooting from a vehicle that moves at combat or cruising speed. Additionally, as I can see where this may lead, see page 70, MOVING FAST VEHICLES, for dealing with how to treat flat out for fast vehicles with transport capacity and their occupants firing.

    No.

    If the vehicle moves, then the occupants are also counted as having moved, so maximum range (unless they are RELENTLESS) is 12" for Bolters and plasmaguns (and heavy weapons could not be fired).

    But even then you can't fire if the vehicle moved on cruising speed.

    Blood angel rhinos are a fast tank.
    Can move 12 and shoot as normal.
    Includes passengers.
    Warhammer 6th edition.

    No actually it doesn't. A Fast Vehicle allows the Vehicle to fire as if it had moved 6" if it moves 12". It gives no permission for the unit inside to do so.

    Indeed my shoota boys cry themselves to sleep every night because of that rule.

    Yes, hence why I added the "...unless they are relentless." and capitalised the 'relentless' part of it.

    Fast transports and non-fast transports have the SAME limitation on passengers firing. Sucks more for the DE and Orks than marines, really.
