Very nice, I like it.
So I got the Britanan Grenadiers and am looking forward to getting them. They shall receive a nice base and will receive an even better poition in my cabinet. They were part of why I started to collect from the world of Relics and as such this was something I really wanted to own. It is strange to hope for higher prices, while having to pay it and actually want a set. Although not quite cheap I do consider it a great deal (actually a steal): nostalgia, great painting and something special in a certain nerdy way. I am not ashamed of it but it does feel rather strange.
So any other auction winners on here, that want to share as to why getting them.

And yet another one:
30 seconds waiting, and another post to get the links here:
I do absolutely love the highlanders, and considering the price, I don't mind ordering those to shove on the lead pileCan't decide on the Tormenta yet, but I think I'll pick him up anyway.
Hmm, highland themed Britannan force to fight the winter themed Vaettir.. Might crack out some green stuff later and have a play.

Ok, I'm looking at this and liking the minis, but are there quick start rules in the starters or not? Cause that's a deal breaker to be honest
The starter sets do not have the starter rules in them, but you can download them from here: http://www.torgaming.co.uk/rd/games/relics/ Scroll to the bottom.
Ah, cheers for that
I've finally got around to getting my Vaettir finished. Its only taken several months but I'm pretty please - Nuem here I come!

In this video there are some sketches of the upcomming C'thul and the Ridend, I think I have not seen the "zerg overlord" sketch, but all the Ridend ones are definitely new (at about five minutes for the lazy ones). I love the theme they have going with those. The beaky knight helmets, the chickens, the peasants and the hags. I looks like a lot of fun.
Now if you will excuse me, I have received the former official paint jobs today and will have a look around for some sack cloth.
Goblin Damsels? The Ridend are a must buy now.
Sadly though, the C'thul look quite bland despite the tentacle heads.
I have no background connecting me to the C'thulu theme of squid heads. Personally I do not understand the rage but like to see some interesting miniatures none the less. That to me means non-bi-pedal/humanoid, which does apply to some. In this way I do like the Mosquito (a lot) and Verstou (hope I read that right, armoured head for the win), playing with ideas of what you can do with a squid frame could be interesting. Like I said, I hardly know anything of the background of both this specific race and the theme in general.
I did have a discussion lately on extraterrestrial life and the need for hands/fingers to manipulate the environment. Sufficient to say I do not agree it is needed as to me it depends rather on the environment of development and tentacles, a hive collective or just a muscular sheet will do the trick just as well (solid based), in the end it is the machines that do the fancy tricks for us and they seem quite functional without "normal" hands (actually hands would be bad a lot of the time).
The damsels were a bit of a surprise, although there was a hint of it in the post card preview. Now that is truly the work of a great mind twisting the Arthurian theme.
Having had a better look at the video this morning, the C'thul are pretty interesting. The mosquito and floaty thing are neat and I like the tripod feet on the humanoid ones, but they just lack the wow factor the Ridend have, IMO.
