    Re: Relics

I did see those - and completely forgot to mention them here

I really like the color choices and the symbols seem pretty crisp - can't wait to get my paws on them.

    Re: Relics

Hooray for the dice, I especially like the bags. I hope they get sold as well or I will have to see if I can trade at least some Vaettir ones.

It is also very exciting, waiting for all the new artwork and greens to be shown.

    Re: Relics

The bags will be available for sale after we have sent out all that needs sending out. How long they will be for sale, I'm not sure.

We may just sell them until the stock runs out or we may have more printed. It all depends on how well they sell I guess.

    Re: Relics

Yes getting packages is nice, god I love eBay for that. So what do you think of the new dark look of the Orcnar?

Personally, I really like the new look, although the war-paint is a bit too crisp. When I get mine they will most likely go the cannibalism way, lots of blood and savage. Not sure of the colour yet but some ravaged war-paint sounds good to me.

    Re: Relics

You know, the new look of the Orcnar actually makes me like them a fair bit more. Still don't know if I'd want to play them, but I really think the new scheme shows off the qualities of the models better.

    Re: Relics

I can relate to the not wanting gore on models, my attempts at painting some VC were always met with criticism like "to bright and happy". Then I tried the blood and gore thing just for once and got great responses. It does look more horror, but is most certainly not child proof any more.
These Orcnar are however described as cannibals, and I think I will go for a well fed look on mine. The old paint style looked fine by me, clean and bright. But I do like the slightly darker tones on these, and a hidden cabinet is needed for the Nuem anyhow. Kidding aside, lately I have been drawn to a try different looks, but dirt, rust and blood get added a lot more. On a low model count basis the need for detailed basing and realism where applicable helps to get a bit more out of miniatures in my opinion.

    Re: Relics

Relics was never meant to be child proof. This is how Relics WAS meant to be.

Anyway, we previewed the new loko Veattir on Friday over on Facebook, though you may like to see them:

As you can see, the Vaettir aren't covered in blood, but their blades have some on.

Yes, these are very well painted. Almost like bright night skies, I really like the theme on these.

The Doctor Doom version of the Specialis Pueri?

    Looks good - suitably creepy.

    Re: Relics

That is some nice painting, I like the style. Give her steel skin and Loveless is spot on with Doctor Doom.

So what do the others here think of the new starter builds, better?

I think the addition of dice is a nice touch and the shipping is free now from a value under the starter set anywhere in the world. That is great! I will get a new Orcnar starter next when I can piggyback some of the Vaettir and Britanan sculpts coming up.

    Re: Relics

    Well, Tor just posted this:
Alright, we are looking for some help from you lot and are willing to pay in miniatures for it!

Each time we post an article on Facebook - such as new images, discount codes, previews etc etc etc - We want you lot to spread the word.

Re-post the item in a new thread on any wargaming forum out there that allows you to post industry news (or an existing 'x company news' thread if the forum requires them to be kept together) and then post a link to the thread you created as a comment on the specific facebook post.

After three days, we will then select, at random, one of the comments with a link in it and send you a Relics blister of your choice!

We are starting this today, so any post we have made today on this page (including this one) is eligible for entry.

One thing - if the post has already been made on a forum, do not start a second thread and enter it as we will not accept it as an entry - That is just plain spamming and is naughty!! ;-)

It would be great if there was link to our facebook page too ;-)

    Cheers!

So that's something to help spread the word around.

Already posted above, but here's the facebook link in case you're too lazy to scroll http://www.facebook.com/TorGaming
