Thanks Tancred for the complete list! I am a happy customer now, specially for the Slann and the gigantic spider (this model is a pain in the ass to assemble when in metal).

This is the war-ravaged world of Warhammer, and there's only WAR!... and hammers.
Thank me not.

Much like the Hive Tyrant, and a few others, these are probably just ports to Finecast as a holdover until the next army release or wave respective to each model. They will then become plastic, and everyone who bought these will be pee-pee hurt.
I never understood why they Finecast old, crappy looking models that will be redone anyway, but I suppose they make a quick buck on it.

I've only had one bad Finecast model - the 25th Anniversary 40K one! I've had a few others (Tomb King with Great Weapon, Wood Elf Spellweaver + Highborn, Tree Kin, Tau Ethereal, Ork Tankbustas... those were all 'fine'. Not spectacular perhaps but had no trouble with them.)
So yeah, I'm not turned off by Finecast just yet. In terms of model weight, ease of assembly and painting I prefer the resin models by far. Metal models were a pain to work with. I do wish they could perhaps use a resin more like that of the Warmachine figures though, which is less wibbly-wobbly.
So I'm probably gonna try some of the TK stuff in this wave.
Really hoping for either new plastic or finecast versions of the Eternal Guard and Waywatchers for the Wood Elves, now.
Finecast has a terrible success rate with me (I may have bad luck) so if I want to play return tango, it eventually works out.
That said, for the price, I shouldn't have to play return tango with GW Customer Service. I like Finecast better when I get a good sculpt, but I'd rather have metal for the reliability of the cast.
Dark elf executioners and harpies are a pain to assembly in metal so will benefit from finecast IF its a good mould without all the defects that plague the product. Not sure whether its worth a £5+ price increase though. Much better to just make them plastic
Gah, still no High Elf Great Eagles? When will they get remade?![]()
I'm a okay with the big stuff in this list in fine cast (monsters, slann, cauldron of blood) but I've never purchased a single finecast small model without issues with weapons. Warped swords that bend back a week after correction, broken or missing hand guards, chipped/nicked/bubbled/miscasted blades and tips. Resin and miniature swords and spears just never work out. eBay has been my best friend lately.

Over GWs Australian pricing policy, charging us more then 50% for that same product compared to most others? Sick of GW charging more for resin then metal??? WTF only in GW world would this be fair, cheaper product to produce, should be cheaper when selling

Sad that witch elves & executioners are not getting redone. Ugly ugly models.
Kinda happy about carrion going FC$$ for as I am starting my TK army I keep looking at how to elevate the carrion-with FC models it should be easy. Now just when will I have the cash for this project I will never know.

i also don't have a problem with finecast. i've had just as many problems with metal models as finecast, the good thing with finecast is it's lighter and easier to work with. i really don't know why people are saying it's so worse.
i guess this means we can't expect any new models for these guys? too bad, would have liked to have seen some new witch elves, similiar as dark eldar ones, especially considering the DE army book should be coming out 2013.

Finecast has been horrible for me, Ill stick with metals from ebay.
I really hope that none of these are going to be updated; the harpies would be better off discontinued in favour of people just doing Scourge conversions. The Witch Elves and Executioners are already painfully expensive in metal to the point that people are looking to other companies with suitable plastics, and the executioners even more-so, as you need at least 20 which will probably work out around £60 or more.
Similarly with the Tomb Kings; the three that look like they're going to be updated are all models that should have been replaced when the army book came out, there's just no sane reason to make such terrible models available in a more expensive material, as it just encourages even more people to look elsewhere.
We have new Witch Elf models already, and they are quite good.:

GW is NOT the only game in town. In fact, at least in this case, they aren't even the best, at least IMO.

Okay, well, a 6.7% price increase isn't so bad on those Black Guard. I mean I can't stand finecast, and they're already pushing our budgets at current prices. If they just st-
