I may scratch the second Griffon and go with a Hydra to bring the total to 50.

You really have a lot of 'jacks, and very little reliably hard-hitting stuff.
Is this for a slow grow league where you have to use the "battle box" content for everything?
Also, are you new to the game or have you played for a while?

I think what really stands out is that while the Mage hunter strike force can work as your heavy hitters against other Warmachine armies, you have no way of handling beast-heavy Hordes lists.
Skorne and Trolls in particular would be a really tough matchup due to their high armour on both beasts and units. Against Hordes a Backlash assassination won't work either, so you're kinda strapped for options there I feel.

Yes, the project originaly started with the virtual Kaelyssa starter set at another LGS - so most of the models have been purchased. A few tweeks have been made now, Aspis for example.

I have been playing for over five years now, so whereas this army may be new to me the WMHD system however is not. Strangely, my daughter has more table time with the lists than I do.

My other factions include Cryx, Pirates, Circle, and Gators. Not looking for anything overly competitive, I run Cryx or Curcle fie that - rather just something for social gaming.

I would drop the soulless escort from the 35 point list until you have a unit other than the Mage Hunters to attach him to. He does not get Stealth when attached to them and your opponent can use him as a targeting point for AOEs. Not sure what you could replace him with - a Ghost Sniper maybe

In the 50 point list those remaining 5 poiints could be spent on a unit of Stormfall Archers - who you can attach the escort to.
