    8. Undying, armoured horse
    4 morrannon orcs, shield

if that is not what i am after i will use the following:

    1. groblog
    5 gobbos, spear

    2. Moria gobbo shaman
    5 gobbos, spear

    8. Gundabad shaman
    5 gobbos, spear
    3 gobbos
    2 prowler 2H weapon

    9. Undying, armoured horse

103 models. enough fury to really not care about terror. enough quakers to unseat cav/disarm heroes. 16 prowlers to tickle heavily armoured threats. enough numbers to ignore bow fire. enough immobilse to stop mumaks in their tracks (ok i know its their drivers).

The Age of the Gobbo is here.

Just noticed you hadn't had any responses so i thought I'd chip in!

The mass of Goblins is good, Groblog + multi-shamans is just a no-brainer these days.

I agree with not taking bow armed goblins but I'd give the non-spear equipped ones shields for a bit of added durability (especially against S2 bowfire).

From a fluff point of view I don't like taking Gundabad Shamans/drums unless I'm taking Gundabad gobbos as their warband but that's just me.

On a similar fluff note, I wouldn't bring in the Undying/orcs. You've got a really nice fluffy list and then it seems you're shoe-horning in an allied war band for an advantage. I'd use the points on a Moria Goblin Drum. The combination of 5+ furied up gobbos and the benefits of the drum makes the goblin horde really viable without resorting to allies.

I'd also leave the Cave Drake behind, having played a lot of big gribblies recently (dragon, cave drake, eagles, Treebeard, Ent) I've found it all too easy to tie them up with a sacrificial warrior every turn and I think it's very hard to get them to make their points back.

If you wanted to add a little variety to your list (and save on RSI moving all those gobbos) I'd upgrade one of your shamans to Ashrak and then take Druzhag with as many upgraded spiders as you can fit (they're pricey at 22 points) and a spider queen. The spider queen is a good buy and is truly terrifying when enrage beast is in play, Druzhag's 5/6 Will store is really useful for this.

The spiders give you something different to play with/paint but maintains a really fluffy feel.

Just my two cents, enjoy! I find the current Moria list is really good fun to use and has a lot of variety built into it, they're currently my favourite evil army

Let us know how you get on!

Please, don't take the word "gobbo" in vain, it's a Warhammer word, not intended for Bored of the Rings using.
This is the war-ravaged world of Warhammer, and there's only WAR!... and hammers.

Thanks for the rational feedback, from now on I'll reserve it for Borehammer (I can do it too!)

I'm lousy with rules and army lists, but I'll grant you that you've got the right spirit with picking so many gobbos.

Just in order to gain some insight from people who probably are less prone to choose armies based on looks (including all games systems), why don't you choose Goblin Drums or Banners? Or Gundabad Blackshields?

Or a Warg Marauder or three, for that matter. I'd pick that one for pure looks alone.

From my point of view I do use a drum (swear by it as I mentioned above!), Moria lists can't take banners (the drum effectively gives all goblins an 18" banner) and don't take Blackshields because of the cost (real cost in money, not points).

As for the Warg marauders I haven't tried them but I do like the idea. I'm not keen on the model but planning on converting a couple out of some Fenrisian wolves and plastic goblins, I'm only gonna put 2 goblins on each wolf as I think that's more realistic and the army list entry doesn't specify how many there are. It's be nice to have some cavalry knock down bonuses for Moria so I'm looking forward to giving them ago.

It's horses for courses though, I think the variety in the Moria list is one of its greatest strengths, it's a lot of fun to play with. However, I find it hard to imagine not taking Groblog with 12 goblins, shaman with 12 goblins, shaman with 12 goblins and a drum (about 400 points) as the starter chunk for any Moria force these days.
