The guy didn't take LSD, LSD would not cause anyone to behave in such a way. My first guess was that it was PCP, but it turns out he was high on bath salts.

As to why more people don't start eating people's faces off is because the chance of you reacting to a drug like this guy did is extremely unlikely and based on the person's mental stability in the first place more so than 'just' the drug. Obviously, repeated use of certain drugs will essentially wear down any person's emotional stability or even sanity, though even then the vast majority would not respond like this.

Kids, (some) drugs are bad, mmmkay.

I think they are actually saying that only marijuana tested positive, just because they didn't find anything else, dosen't mean that it was the cause "There are many of these synthetic drugs that we currently don't have the methodology to test on, and that is not the fault of the toxicology lab," Dr Goldberger said. I think a large portion of the general public would bet on Zombomolypse than ganja doing this.

Just goes to show, always wait for the toxicology report. I doubt there's some undetectable substance at work, this is now sounding more like one of those more conventional psychotic episodes that results in shopping-centre-beheadings and the like. The correlation between cannabis usage and paranoid schizophrenia might play a part in this story one way or another.

I can quite believe it is indeed the beginning of a Zombie-pocalypse as prophesied by Mr Brooks in his excellent guide.

What really surprised me about the piece was that the Mail didn't suggest it was now a slippery slope to the time when hordes of the living dead are
multiplying exponentially and will attain such numbers as to come "over here" whereupon they will begin chomping on our brains (when not claiming benefits).



It's biological in-correctness gone mad!
