Just did a quick search and got no hits.
Just wondering what other warseer-ers are into Auto racing and if so what forms? I grew up around Road racing and have always followed F1.
Anyone else?

F1 (check out the forum below this one), MotoGP and try and get to the IoM TT as often as possible
I think for many it's an unattainable dream. The whole concept of driving cars at the limits of their performance is so astonishingly dangerous as to restrict it to either professionals, highly-skilled amateurs or nutters, unfortunately.
This summer I may be looking forward to my first 'race experience', of course under the supervision of paid professionals. Previously I've had a couple of goes at go-karts (not to be sniffed at, 60mph with your **** three inches from the floor is pretty exciting, and F1 drivers cut their teeth on them) and nothing else of note. I held little interest in auto sports until watching an old car's-eye-view video of Graham Hill doing a lap of Monte Carlo in an F1 car of the day, and realising that they did in fact have a manual transmission controlled by a big steel lever, big chunky pedals that needed stamping on, and sounded like a proper car, totally unlike the machines of today.

As others have said, there is quite a large thread discussing Formula 1 in the Groups and Factions sub-board below this one. Always good to run through that thread after a Grand Prix and get a different perspective on the race.

I do the odd cone course day at my local race track's skid pan. Not able to get on the track proper until I get a roll bar however, as my car is a convertible (even with a hard top, which is effectively only made of plastic).

I was just looking for some people who follow non-F1 as well. Touring cars and club races. My family is big into the club series here in ontario (My dad races this weekend actually) and I was curious as to who's also into the broader sport.

I don't mind F1, but for me the touring cars are far more exciting. British touring cars being my favourite, just so much more happens.
