although i love the imperial guard, I keep having problems with them, mainly because they don`t seem to fit my preferred style of play very well (my style of play is not sitting on my behind and shooting at stuff until they tear me a new back orifice and more charging across the field and smash into my opponent).40K Army: Imperial Guard
so my 5 companies of imperial guard went to recuprate from the ww1 style of losses they endured, and i started replacing them with veterans to do the frontline dying.
anyway I made a list that i think wille suit me better, please comment:

1 vendetta (130 points)
all chimeras have their multilasers replaced with heavy bolters
total 1000 points
as both the company command and veteran chimeras will be driving away from the deplyment zone very quickly, i decided that the best thing for support was a vendetta, as this thing is able to keep up with them better, A leman russ variant will not be able to keep up without sacrificing firepower, and artillery left in my deployment zone I think will get shredded by infiltrators an deepstriking troops before the first shot, as i have no troops available (or willing to keep back) to protect them.
The devildog will be the tip of the spear, hopefully killing something big before it gets blown up. The devildog`s main purpose is to be a fire magnet (so the cimeras survive long enough to get into contact), and i really don`t care if it survives the battle.
