Dragon Age: Dawn of the seeker

    Wiki article here: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Drag..._of_the_Seeker

Trying to watch it right now, and I've suffered through almost 10 minutes already, but I don't know how much more I can take. The first combat scene with the hallmark japanese ultra-violence didn't really inspire confidence.
Plog of Jericho - Wood Elves, Daemons, Beastmen, CSM and Whatnot.

MD: You got a christmas gift?
House: Yeah, 'cause I worship Santa. Or wait, is that Satan? I always get them mixed up.

Makes me want to watch it actually, sounds like it's not going to be one of those boring watered-down american cartoons.

Just gonna say this. Japanese 'ultra violence'?! Did you play origins or 2 Satan? (never thought I'd be asking satan if he'd played a game before). Blood sprays everywhere, you're covered in it after one fight. In origins they even make a joke about it by allowing you to command your dog to lick it all off. You can also decapitate an enemy and blood sprays from the neck as the body collapses.

The games were already 'ultra violent'...

Still waiting for my DVD, bought it on principle as I have all the Dragon Age novels and whatnot. Hope it is good. Agree with Hellebore about the violence, its always been quite bloody.

Bad choice of words. I should've put it like "Ulta-Action" or something. What I mean to say is that it's very clear it's been produced in japan, including the head-over-heels jumps in full-plate armour. I've grown distrustful of Anime over the years. These days it's just... too much somehow. I don't know if that really conveys what I'm trying to say but... it's a prevalent phenomenon in manga/anime, where everything has to glow, shine or explode constantly without adding anything to the storytelling or feeling of the setting.

Didn't mind the violence in the games. Though the DA2 blood was a bit OTT.

I sincerely hope you enjoy it - just wasn't to my taste is all. Which I found sad, because I really think they've been throwing this brand around all over the place (though I liked the books very much).

Ah so Damocles8 was on the money when he said 'DAII' style - I detested the ott fighting styles in that game where everyone just had to explode and/or get thrown in all directions. IMO although 2's story wasn't bad the gameplay was so juvenile ROXXORS!tastic that it just detracted from my enjoyment (although I will be the first to admit that origins' gameplay was a bit slow, this seemed to be classic penduluum overcompensation) and I never finished it.

You seem to have forgotten the final fight against Meredith in DA2. She's quite, huh, jumpy Oh, and she's got a glowing sword that makes explosions now and then (yes, I'm having a lot of fun right now ^^)
Oh and my eyes shine btw!!!
