Thanks guys. Simply a lot of kitbashing with a good search of the GW website for appropriate representative minis, and some FW. The Lasguns are a little bit rainbow... but there are 108 Zombies, and realized how annoying it would be to figure out which squad is which, without an obvious marker
The tanks were really easy actually. 1)Boltgun Metal all over, except the tracks, leave them black. 2)liberal wash of Scorched Earth all over 3)Drybrush Boltgun Metal all over (done very lightly, wastes a lot of paint, but the effect is good). 4)paint the bronze areas, 50/50 Snakebite Leather and Boltgun Metal 4)wash the bronze down with Scorched Earth (very watered down) 5)Hit all the rivets with Scorched Earth 6) Highlight everything with Mithril Silver or Mithril Silver + Snakebite Leather (50/50)
The Defiler Tank: all that needed to be done, was to cut down the base of the leman russ turret, and glue it to the bottom of the defiler body so it would link. I was going to do all three LRs in the same way, but I couldn't figure out what to do with the leftover defiler bodies.
My Abaddon, simple but effective kitbash. Might have to redo him once I've finish off the rest of the Black Legion, as his paint job is beginning to show compared to the other new BL stuff I've done: note to self, don't start an army with your HQs... they should be the last thing you paint!
More photos to come, just gotta get out the camera and take 'em. Incoming: two squads of 8 CSM Terminators, 2 Kitbashed Obliterators, 11 man Squad of CSMs and a 6 man Squad of Khorne Beserkers. Current in progress is another 5 man CSM squad and a 6 man Fallen DA squad.

Champion for my latest squad of BL. Obviously just Huron BH without his backpack and arm. He's my first finecast, hence why his axe is a little messy. Otherwise a pleasure to paint. Details were obvious enough to know what to highlight and how.

bloody sweet force you have here. nothing beat seeing another renegade guard army.
also were did you get the movement bases from please ?
They were from armorcast way back in the day, they pop up on Ebay every now and then. But be warned, I'll be fighting you for them via bids! They are quite sweet. 25mm bases snap in and out nicely, so you can actually pick the entire tray up without having to be careful of spilling. I wish there were 30mm ones too, so I could plunk terminators into a tray.Originally Posted by Deamon-forge

Oh man this is fantastic stuff! your army is brilliant in both the Renegade guard and the CSM. Love the extreme highlights which really stand out but not too much and it all looks so good! Congrats its a fantastic force.
