    Junkyard Necron

Started on my new necron army.

this is my first army using an airbrush, so I want to try something completely different.

basically I want to try to achieve the Realistic weathering look, I want my necron to look ancient and broken, only reanimated recently by an overlord.

    I think you succeeded...

Really love it. The theme is great, and I love how you have done it. I must admit, I'm usually not a big fan of necrons from an "army look" point of view, but I Imagine an army in that style would look awesome

Stunning! The weathering is superb, both the rusted metal and the chipped painting. The only thing that I think could do with some improvement is the orange/yellow parts. They are not as convincing as the rest of it. Not sure how it could be improved, but perhaps a slight OSL effect? Or just a coat of gloss varnish. You could also try out some clear orange from Tamyia to give it a bit more of a glow. But that is just nitpicking.
Have you used the salt-technique to achieve the flaked paint?
Looking forward to see more of this army!
