Can an Inquisitor have Terminator Armour?

Simple enough question. Can Inquisitors have Terminator armour? I run a Dark Heresy game and was wanting to know if I can equip it on an Inquisitor?

they wont be able to utilize it fully as a space marine can but inquisitors end up collecting all sorts of things in their careers.

They've basically always had the option.
All high ranking Adeptus characters used to be able to take it, as a matter of fact. Inquisitors, Magi, Judges, Canonesses, Confessors, Psykers, Assassins. Infamously, those Assassins.

They are members of the Inquisition, if they can justify having it, they'll get one that they can use fully.

The only thing those Inquisitors that wear it won't be able to do is the more subtle investigations.

In 40k subtlety is turning up with a flame thrower screaming "burn the heretic". I don't think terminator armor impedes this

Weird, I thought subtlety was sending the Callidus assassin to do it for you . Apart from that, doesn't Coteaz come with a terminator armour?

Tyrus just wears power armour (just check his armour stats compared to the actual Inquisitor marine).

No models released for Inquisitor had terminator armour (but several 40k 28mm inquisitors over the years HAVE been released with it).
^the Inquisitor in that top picture (post above) IS wearing terminator armour and is carrying a psycannon (original style) and "Force rod" originally - That model was modified to have the sergeant's power weapon (from the original metal set)

In the Dark Heresy RPG the Inquisitor Natius Osrinn is mentioned wearing a Terminator Armour of unknown origin. Witchfinder Rykehuss also wears some sort of bulky armour though it could be Power Armour in fact...

Some Inquisitors are overt, but they mostly work alongside the Munitorium and/or Sororitas, and get involved during a crusade or when a world's been (re)conquered, to judge the population for taint and heresy. Occasionally they have to (or choose to) work on the front lines, but most of the time, they're at the back, either conducting interrogations and trials, or making sure the generals in charge aren't misbehaving - or using those actions as cover for whatever they're really up to (such as Golesh Heldane in First and Only, Lilith Abfequarn's role in Ghostmaker and Fyodor Karamazov).

Most are more covert, normally (but not always) working behind the scenes - such as Amberley Vail, Gregor Eisenhorn and Jac Draco.

It's Artificer Armour. None of the current Inquisitor models have Terminator Armour (even Hector Rex is in Artificer Armour), although IIRC, it's still an option in the relevant army lists.

In the new Soul Drinkers novel, The Phalanx, the Inqusitor rocks a set of termi armour. The same Inqusitor wears said armour through out the series and even in a few short stories, he uses a bejeweled rotary cannon when its time to clean house. And the armour is a badge of office for the senior Inqusitor Lord a character even remarks on it saying. " can't very well hold court without it".

My impression is that they easily have the political power to get access to Termie armor, so after that it's a matter of taste.

The easy answer is that this is Warhammer 40,000 and the fluff is what you make it.
