I'm wondering if this might line up with SM's earlier comment about digital codexes. He didn't mention the Ork codex in the list of upcoming releases for the year. If they do a model wave, maybe with a few new features or rules for things in the included wave, it would be a good opportunity to revamp the dex with pretty new pictures.

Thanks for this stick, we have been looking forward to this release for some time. Important glad Orks have been so well looked after for the past few years, the fighta was a real treat especially.
The only options we won't have available to buy off the shelf after this are grot artillery and the looted wagon.

Plastic Meganobs makes me very happy, especially at terminator price which I think is very reasonable, since they pretty much are terminators. Will definitely pick up a box or 2 of them, if they are as awesome as the recent terminator sized/priced boxes we have a lot to look forward to.

AU$55 for one Ork Deff Kopta?

I would hope for a significant size increase if that's the case

Yeah, I think some of the numbers may be off, such as 5 Plaguebearers per box. That will probably be 10 per box. Deffkoptas and Warbuggies/trakks should be 3 per box, like Killa Kans. This info is a ways out, so hopefully they will both be 3 per box (prices as Killa Kans). The rest sounds plausible. Heck, all they would need to do is throw a Looted Wagon and Wazzdakka kit in there and every unit in Codex: Orks 4E would then be covered. At that point they might as well unleash a new codex with new units too, giving us something else to look forward to kit-wise. Oops! Left out Grot Artillery.

Good rumors overall. People are going to go ape over Plastic Meganobz in particular.

That would make the most sense, considering Bikers and Killa Kans.

There's really no need for a looted wagon kit--just throe some Orky bits on another army's vehicle and call it good. Now, a dual Warboss/Big Mek kit with bike option would be great, a dedicated Nob Biker kit, a Big Gunz kit and the remaining special characters would round out the options nicely. Then we can get to new units (and hopefully reintroduce Boarboyz) and a new codex.

Re: Ork wave prep for Spring 2013

Marine Bikes are also 1 per-pack. If Koptaz were 1 per-pack I'd expect them to be a shade more expensive than that, up to Attack Bike cost (AU$41).

If they were 3 per-pack, I'd expect them to be Tomb Blade cost (AU$66)

AU$55 is more than a Land Speeder and the same price as a Rhino. It'd HAVE to be bigger than the AoBR ones, even with all options. Pretty sure all options would be Big Shootas, Rokkits, Big Bomb and Buzz Saw. That's not that much stuff.

Every unit entry should have its own kit. Remember, GW markets and sells to n00bs and vets alike. Orks have their own version of everything. Think of the Lootas weapons, and then replace "weapon bits" with "vehicle bits".

I'd sooner expect the entry to disappear in the next Codex. Hopefully to be replaced with an Ork medium tank.

In 40k yes. But the Daemon sets also pull double duty with Warhammer, where unit size is a minimum of 10. So if Plaguebearers are 5 to a box (which i doubt) expect those of us who use them in fantasy as well to be rather annoyed.

When they eventually get released, Plaguebearers will be 10 per box and Furies 5 per box, or I will eat all your hats.

Would make some peoples conversions invalid though.
I am glad that deffkoptaz are rumoured, the AoBR ones are great imo. Far better then the metal one.

Just use them as regular Ork vehicles. It's no worse than old looted Russes and Land Raiders being covered by the AV11 Looted Wagon entry.

Isn't the current metal death kopta a left over from the GorkaMorka I seem to remember him being a gun for hire similar to Mad Donna from necromunda!
