Hi guys, we've had quite a few rules questions come up recently and before we head off to the UK doubles tournament in a couple of weeks I thought I'd get some feedback. I'm posting them as multiple threads as one thread with multiple questions might easily get bogged down with discussion of one topic.
This one's far more pedantic and opinion based than factual but I'm just wondering where people stand on it.
We're using Groblog in our army (can't knock that Fury boost!) and were just wondering how people treated line of line to a model that is clearly small but modelled to be ridiculously visible?!?!?
Obviously, if a cave troll is behind 2 rows of goblins, archers should be able to target the troll as it is a bigger figure. But it seems to me that Groblog should be safe behind a few rows of goblins but the figure (which I actually like) makes him a ******* great target! I'm just wondering how you think people will play it in a tourney? Our group plays it the fairly logical way that he's actually assumed to be on the ground and so can't be targeted.
We also discovered that if you are being so pedantic to use 'true' line of sight then you can actually spin the model around so his rock faces the enemy, in which case would any archers have to make an 'in-the-way' roll?
I understand that this is very pedantic and cheesy and just to confirm we play it the sane, 'spirit of the game' way, I'm just curious about what to expect in a tournament atmosphere!
Thanks guys, interested to hear your thoughts.
