Evil Sunz.
On a side note, it never ceases to amaze me how many times I've said "Da red wunz go fasta!" and someone knew exactly what I was talking about (outside of 40k).

I voted Bad Moons as I have 3000 points of them or so. I love yellow as an accent color. Nasdreg is easily my favorite warboss, his fluff is just awesome. And then there really is no limit to what Bad Moons can put onto the table and still be fluffy. If it isn't naturally Bad Moonish, you can easily justify that they have hired out the other bits because they have the teeth to afford it.

I am not sure why but still quite shocked Blood Axe are leading at this point. I figured it would be a run away for Bad Moonz and Evil Sunz
As a Battlefleet Gothic enthusiast, I voted for freebootaz.
Snakebites, cyborg boarboyz all the way![]()
Blood Axes for me, I really like the pseudo-German stylings of the older models and looting Imperial equipment. Surprised to see they're ahead in the poll at the mo though, would have thought the Goffs or Bad Moons would have been the most popular.

I would have figured from just a painting perspective that people would shy away from the Bad Moons and Evil Suns, because of the difficulty in painting Red and Yellow correctly, and from Blood Axes, because of the difficulty of painting camo schemes on the clothing.
I thought for sure Goffs would be the run away here. Deathskulls being near the top doesn't surprise me though. Blue is fairly easy to paint.

I'm really surprised the speed freaks are in fourth place right now. I feel they're by far the most fun ork clan.
I love Freebooterz. The only way to make an Ork cooler is to make him a space pirate as well!![]()

When I started my ork army I had a few battered rhinos and a leman russ sat in my 'why did I buy that?' box. they look even more wrecked now.
i'm on my second bad moon army. Green and yellow just go so well together.

Really?! The "Nelson Ork" is, without a doubt, the single most significant redesign and improvement on any 40K faction since 40K began, including Dark Eldar (sorry Jes) and Necrons. Before Gorkamorka, Orks were incredibly amorphous, no defining features other than a haphazard approach to wardrobe and the almost inevitable greenness. The Nelson Ork redefined the species as a creature that was all muscle and sinew without making them comedic in proportion, they made sense as an organism to look at and as a very real threat to anyone not green.
I have to say though, I am utterly surprised by the spread of votes on this one, as it stands...
Blood Axes 2823.33%
Bad Moons 2621.67%
Deathskulls 2420.00%
Evil Suns 2016.67%
"Freebooters" 86.67%
Goffs 54.17%
Snakebites 54.17%
Other 43.33%
Even as a Blood Axe fan myself , I'm surprised and at a loss to explain why they've scored so highly, perhaps Blood Axes appeal to the subversive in us?* I'm not surprised the Goffs score low though, if the Orks had a poster boy faction it'd be Goffs.
Yes that's right, Goffs are the Ultramarines/Black Legion of Orky Kultur.
I'm also intrigued as to what four people consider as "other".

Brimstone. Gone but not forgotten.
I dunno, Im just a sucker for the old ones, got a truck load of em.
Goffs very nearly got my vote, but the caps and german-esque design of the old Blood Axes sealed the deal.
It might also be that people like the idea of a little more structured approach? I know they are orks but the Blood Axe orks also appeal to the "proper" army feel.
I think the problem with Goffs is that they are sort of boring actually. They are basically just standard Orks who wear black. Oh, and don't like most of the fun toys that much. Or at least, that's often how they get portrayed. But they are hardly the only faction/race that suffer from bad stereotyping.

I suspect the Bad Moonz got so popular because they have the starkest paint scheme and there are now finally yellow paints on the market that are good enough to pull it off.
Of all the threads in all the forums in all the world you had to post into this one.
This is probably one of the worst forums to get a remotely accurate account of Clan popularity. In any case I voted Deathskulls, though I admit Blood Axes are a close second (these days).
Iirc, the Waaagh ran one of these roughly a year or so ago, and I believe the general consensus was Deathskulls as the highest, followed closely by Evil Suns and Blood Axes, with Bad Moons, Goff and Snakebites following in that order. But generally speaking, Deathskulls are always popular due to the conversion possibilities, with Blood Axes being more of a "professional" endeavor for hardcore greenstuff enthusiasts. Bad Moons have typically been the clan favored by anyone who wants to flex their painting skill and make a really sharp looking, eye-catching army. Goffs though have kinda fallen behind due to the latest codex cutting down their combat proficiency and dumping them down to the "ultramarines of the Ork codex".
