    1850 Blood Angels for tournament

    40K Army: Space Marines
After reading the Internet, and checking the BA codex, I've come up with this list:

100 Librarian: Shield and ??? (no idea for the 2nd power)

    150 3 Sanguinary Priests

165 5 Assault Marines: Meltagun, LasPlas Razorback
165 5 Assault Marines: Meltagun, LasPlas Razorback
155 5 Assault Marines: LasPlas Razorback
155 5 Assault Marines: LasPlas Razorback
120 5 Assault Marines: HB Razorback

145 Baal Predator: Assault Cannon, HB's
145 Baal Predator: Assault Cannon, HB's
145 Baal Predator: Assault Cannon, HB's

    135 Predator: Autocannon, Lascannons
    135 Predator: Autocannon, Lascannons
    135 Predator: Autocannon, Lascannons
    +-----
    1850

What do you think of this list? Is it a bit overkill on tanks or not??

Librarian, most take Shield and Lance iirc the name.

Your last Assault squad seems a waste. Guessing its the left over points as it looks as if they will be missing out on the Librarian or Priests from joining them.

Your Predators imo, are countering their own ability, I would go trip lascannons or stick with autocannon/heavy bolters. Not having the book on me right now, you might be able to have enough points if you moved those 120 into the preds lascannons, and you could get extra special weapons onto your remaining 2 assault squads even on the priest/librarian.

As is, or even with my suggestions, it will be tough to take out 10 or 11 tanks. Might not end up being anyones favourite too play against, but that is judgement based.

I know, but most tournament lists aren't anyones favourite to play against.
Friends told me that I'm a bit tight on Man-models... for getting objectives and stuff. Would it be a good idea to drop the last ASM, giving me even less bodies?

Thats a pretty mean list, will be a tough one to take down. You've got 5 troops all in fast vehicles so I would say you're fine for grabbing objectives. What are your thoughts on vindicators? Large blasts to take out hordes and deep striking terminators always pose a big problem for me, very good at taking out paladins as well if you think you might come up against them.

I had been thinking of Vindicators, but their range is only 24, and I'd have to drop some predators for them.

As beard powers said, I don't think you'll have too much of an issue capturing objectives as your in fast vehicles and add too them each are accompanied by a character, 3 of which will be getting FnP. Your better off, adding extra fire power too those units. As is I look at the last 3 assault squads and wonder what they do. The ones in the las/plas razorbacks have no firepower outside of the razorback, each will be given perhaps FnP or the Librarian. So your paying over 200 points for objective sitters really. A Tactical squad comes in about the same or cheaper but with twice as many bodies and a heavy/special/pw or pf. Simply more potent. The last squad just ends up being a moving heavy bolter albeit with better survivability but in place of a heavy bolter and 5 wounds, you could get 2x meltagun, some power weapons, melt bombs etc for the other units, you don't get stuck in a "all this unit can do is capture a objective" in use. Its also not really cashing in on the FnP of the priests.

FnP will be good, and allow those smaller units too be far more survivable, however its much like Death Guard armies in, yes they are resistant as all hell but its so those special weapons can get delivered just as much as it is too protect your troops.

Alternatively, you could make that last Assault Squad with Jump Packs, and use them as a triple threat i.e.; deep strike and tie up potential long range tank hunters reducing shots on your armoured column/contesting a objective late if need be. They could deep strike in too support any infantry unit whose razorback has been destroyed and is now being assaulted etc. Lastly you could leave them covered in and or around your predators, in case your opponent has a tank hunting unit of their own get in on some of them, you could intercept them, and tie them up.

24" range is true, don't forget the 12" move in addition to this. Potential 36" range str 10 large blast is a real worry for anybody you're up against.
