I never said you didn't want a unit as well. I was just commenting on the wisdom of only 3 jacks with Karchev. Beserkers might not hit hard enough, but they are another threat that cannot be ignored, particularly when they can be primed to go explode in the middle of his/her army.

The issue with running lots of jacks with Karchev other than getting bogged down by masses of cheap infantry is his focus of 5.

The Beserkers are ok but even fully loaded its a 50/50 chance of nothing happening with unstable. The kodiak is can run for free but apart from the feat turn he needs focus to charge like every other jack.

The thing with karchev is on a turn when one or more jacks are charging your going to want unearthly rage up, on top of tow or sidearms. So this leaves 2 focus to allocate, 1 for upkeep, then 2 plus the arcantrik turbine focus point for UR.

So on a non feat turn that's 2 jacks that can charge, plus he can't tow more than 3 jacks.

That's why I feel unless your running loads of Beserkers after 3 jacks karchev struggles.

Plus I prefer some infantry support over extra jacks in an all comers list.

the op (me) is interested in Legion. i hear theyre good at running tons of beasts at a time.

Legion is a very fast moving faction.

The beasts wont ever attack a warlock if they go beserk.

Line of sight is a joke to legion with eyeless sight and pathfinder most beasts ignore terrain, camouflage, cover and concealment and can see through woods.

Although glass cannon fits most of your army you hit incredibly hard with lots of initial attacks, but with the draw back of generally low ARM values.

Legion is considered by some to be the hordes version of cryx. Cries of over powered and broken resounding around some forums.

Personnelly I think they just require a bit more thought to beat, than some more straight forward factions like trolls or Skorne.

My little brother plays legion and he loves them as he has had more success with them than his cygnar.

if your looking to start a beast heavy warlock, p&eLylyth can run a decent amount of warbeasts, but pVayl and Abysolonia are the queens of beast heavy forces.

either way, you're going to want shepherds and fosaken. they're basically as essential to everblight as the choir are the Protectorate.

Legion is beast heavy for several reasons
1- The heavies are good
2- The heavies are expensive
3- It's hordes, warbeasts are your lifeline, so you take several of them
4- Legion warlocks tend to support beasts better than infantry.
