So after months of searching, I've finally found an updated version of the warhammer fantasy mod for vassal (For anyone wondering VASSAL is a java application that allows you to run tabletop and board games. It doesn't include rules, but it does include all sorts of nifty features that make it easier to play. Link here). It only has 2 races, skaven and high elves, and the graphics aren't amazing, but it has usable mechanics and would allow anyone who can't convince their local GW players to sully their hands with a competitor's game to finally get some games in.


Hyperlinking this since the address includes a google translate for the german and is stupidly long. Just press the little "Download" button adjacent to the green arrow in the center of the screen, and after a screen or two of doing this it should pop up the .rar file. Simply open it in vassal (The "Fantasy Battle Core" runs fine even though it's not a .vmod file) and enjoy!

The main bug is that rotation of a unit while not at 100% zoom causes them to vanish apparently, but other than that it should provide a simplistic feeding tube for those of us seeking to play some KoW over the interwebs!
