Various Warmaster
I recently dug through some old boxes and found some Warmaster models I started to paint way back when. I never got very far, but this time I got inspired and got a bit painted up fully. To remind myself I have these models, I thought I'd make a thread here to display them. The chaos sorcerer guy and the slann mage are mostly sculpted from scratch. Other than lizardmen and chaos, I always wanted some skaven models too. So I'm keeping an eye on ebay (and if anyone has warmaster models from those three armies they want to get rid of, PM me!)

Nice work on the slann. Sculpting on that scale must be tricky.

Re: Various Warmaster
Thank you. The Slann wasn't too bad since he is almost the size of a 28mm goblin. The sorcerer was more tricky and he ended up being about 50% larger than a chaos warrior, so I have to say he's got the "huge size" chaos attribute, as well as being transparent.

Cheers, I will definitely post more as I get stuff done. Unfortunately my warmaster collection is very small, but I am keeping my eye on ebay for good deals.

Re: Various Warmaster
I guess my favourite thing about warmaster, in addition to the rules looking like fun, is that it lets you create that feeling of massed armies of infantry and cavalry thundering across the battlefield in a much more manageable scale than WHFB. When I look at just a single unit of three stands of chaos warriors, I feel like they are a horde. It's just cool.
I did collect WHFB models at one point in the past, and made a small start on a nurgle warrior army. Time, space and storage issues mean I never expect I will get into WHFB again, but warmaster will be able to give me the thrill of army building in the warhammer world, with so many fewer models requiring so much less space to store and carry around. To this end, the chaos knights posted above are my warmaster version of these guys I made for my older nurgle army long ago.

And I also actually have the warhammer version of the warmaster skink priest!

Re: Various Warmaster
I read in another thread that one problem with warmaster is that it is difficult to convert and sculpt the models. This is very true for infantry-sized stuff, but there are armies that have slightly larger beasties that can readily be built and modified. The slann above is just one example - I have also built/converted a GUO for the chaos army which I will post when finished, and several chaos spawn/daemon beasts. So it's mostly about what army you pick.
I finished another lizardman hero stand, shown in the middle below, and also added some green flock to the bases here. It doesn't show so well in the photos, but I think it makes them look much better on the battlefield.

Re: Various Warmaster
I'm impressed you convert stuff in Warmaster scale; I don't even dare considering how fiddly it must be. Yesterday I got so frustrated with sculpting in 28 mm that I was looking for a Fantasy skirmish game in 54mm!
