Plus, who wouldn't be afraid of a 7ft mound of muscle with tusks and a propencity for extreme violence, even if their weapons don't work? An Ork in just it's boxer shorts would make most Imperial Guardsmen wet themselves...
Aurilian occurs right in the middle of The First Heretic. Don't know anything about Promethian Sun.

The colour band at the top of the spines corresponds which period the novel is set in - thus green spines happen "around the same time", but the length of the time range for each colour is not known to me.
Aurelian is set around the halfway mark for The First Heretic, forty years before Horus' promotion as Warmaster/Istvaan III Betrayal. Promethean Sun is set a few years earlier in the Great Crusade, parallel to the novella Feat of Iron in the The Primarchs. Not sure exactly how the latter fits in with the exact timeline.
