Hi Wiggy I believe its in there - it sais in the rulepack we will not be using mysterious terrain! However we will be using mysterious objectives if applicable for the mission as a test run to see if we like it!

Scenarios from the book will be used, randomly selected beforehand but no duplicates (sorry that wasn't in there!)

I reads the faq as you do - spotting distance + shroud + stealth. And it would seem silly not to use the eldar faq concerning them for the dark eldar version!

BTW I'm not sure I explicitly stated this in the rulepack but as far as I can see GW permits any army to use fortifications denoting them being taken over by other races - so by all means fill your boots everyone!

Having games before hand, what on earth is that all about.. Almost sounds like practice.

Might get a game in tomorrow evening if I'm lucky but not at 2500 points.

So has everyone got their army planned as yet? I'm thinking of using two FOC's and an allied FOC as well for maximum fun.

Rob, can we get a tournament-organiser ruling on Lumbering Behemoth please?

Lumbering Behemoth states: "A Leman Russ that moved at Combat Speed or remained stationary can fire its turret weapon in addition to any other weapons it is usually allowed to fire (even if the turret weapon is ordnance). However, a Leman Russ... [blah blah moves slower]"

"A vehicle that moved at Combat Speed may fire a single weapon using its full ballistic skill. The vehicle can also fire Snap Shots with other weapons if it wishes. Though, of course, it cannot fire any weapons that cannot be fired as Snap Shots."

Now, assume we have a tank moving at Combat Speed armed with a battle cannon, lascannon, and two heavy bolters. Does Lumbering Behemoth:

a) Do nothing except slow the vehicle down. The battle cannon counts as the single weapon you may fire while moving, and all the secondary non-turret weapons can fire anyway with Snap Fire, so the benefit is lost. Battle cannon fires normally, lascannon and heavy bolters fire at Bs1.

b) Allow the turret weapon to fire along with one additional weapon at full Bs, with any other guns left at Snap Fire. The (e.g.) lascannon counts as your single weapon that gets to fire, and the Lumbering Behemoth rule then kicks in and lets you fire the battle cannon as well. So battle cannon and lascannon fire normally, heavy bolters fire at Bs1. Slows vehicle down as normal.


There are RAW arguments to be made for both, but I would say the spirit of the rules is to lean towards (b). After all if was (a) then the entire special rule would simply be a complete downgrade, rather than adding pros and cons. Happy to discuss.

HI Adam I would say it allows 1 additional weapon other than the turret to fire at normal BS.

Hmmmm played my first game, snipers, random charges and challenges suck IMO. Too much like fantasy. Fortifications i think are cool and add to the game. Allies are great for friendly games but horribly open to abuse in tournements, i hope they get dropped. Genestealers are now even more screwed than normal.

Playtest? I might get one game beforehand, if I'm lucky. Even then that's more for the fun of the one game than for any playtest potential. I heartily support working it out as you go along.

Army list sorted, 2 FOC's of an army I don't use very often. (Imperial Guard of all things, really gone over to the dark side here!!)
Models, sorted, as long as I can borrow some from Mal.
Models painted, three colours, apologies to those I play they do look rather basic.
Rulebook read, twice, still not getting all the rules..
FAQ's read, once, not entirely sure on interaction with rules.
Confusion reigns completely

Overall though looking forward to the weekend.
