Grey Knight & Blood angles doubles combo

40K Army: Daemonhunters

Me an my friend are going to the warhammer world doubles tournament this year and settled on blood angels and grey knights for our armies. These are the two lists we came up with:

Grey Knights

Grand master: Terminator armour, iron halo, DH, storm bolter and psychotroke grenades. 195pts
Vindicare assassin: Exitus rifle, exitus pistol and synskin. 145pts
Terminator squad: 1x DH, 1x psycannon, 1x brotherhood banner, 1x force sword, 3x halberds. 330pts
Dreadknight: Heavy psycannon and heavy incinerator. 200pts
Total: 870pts


Blood angels

Reclusiarch: Power armour, bolt pistol, Crozius Arcanum, Jump pack and melta bombs. 155pts
Sanguinary Priest: Power weapon, blood chalice, bolt pistol, melta bombs and jump pack. 95pts
Assault squad: Power weapon and infernus pistol, 1x meltagun and 8x normal marines. 235pts
Baal predator: TL assault cannon and sponson heavy bolters. 145pts
Baal predator: Flamestorm cannon and heavy flamer sponsons. 140pts
Predator: Autocannon and heavy bolter sponsons. 100pts

Total: 870pts

The idea would be that both forces hold back and shoot the enemy before engaging whats left in combat. Against an army more shooting focussed than us we would advance across the board while shooting as much as we could before engaging in combat.
Apart from heavy mech I can't think of many armies this would stuggle against. Even with heavy mech we have a fair amount of rending so we could be fine anyway.

Have you read the scenarios? They are objective heavy and I can see only 2 troops choices in that combined list. No troops no capturing units

I'm a BA player and although Pred Spam is nice its a tad problematic for the Doubles.

Dump 1 pred and 1 Baal and grab another assault squad.

Also why no sang priests?

Grand master makes D3 units scoring units so thats a minimum of one more scoring unit and more likely two. Good point with the sang priest, changed the list accordingly

I like the basis of the blood angels list but I would drop the flamestorm baal predator as well as the reclusiarch and get yourself a librarian and extra assault squad. Maybe use the leftover points to give your predator lascannon sponsons

I like it, although I don't really think you need the Epistolary upgrade, instead, I think you should run the Librarian with Shield of Sanguinius (which goes off in the opponents turn, not taking up your one psychic power per turn restriction) and Unleash Rage to help out the assault squad. This saves you 50 points, which I think should go towards replacing the power swords with power fists. This gives your army more anti-tank and anti-elite in close combat.
So your list would look more like this:
