    Necrons - 1000pts

    40K Army: Necrons
1000 point army for an upcoming tournament this summer.

    HQ
Destroyer Lord - Sempiternal Weave, Mindshackle Scarabs = 160

    Elite
    Triarch Stalker - Heat Ray = 150

    Troops
    10 Immortals - Tesla Carbines = 170

    10 Immortals - Tesla Carbines = 170

    Fast Attack
    4 Wraiths - 3 Whip Coils = 170

    Heavy Support
    Annihilation Barge = 90

    Annihilation Barge = 90

    Total: 1000

Lord goes with wraiths, or causes trouble on his own. The rest is self explanatory.

I'd say, overall it's very balanced, however possibly have one unit of immortals with gauss blasters, that way if a large mechanized army comes up, you can deal out some glancing hits on the important vehicles and use the wraiths and lord to mop up survivors.

    Hope this helps

Thanks very much, ill try it out. I just figured that at 1000 pts the 2 annihilation barges and stalker would be plenty antitank.

I'd keep the Tesla Immortals, the amount of armor 1000 points can bring to bear is manageable with what you have, and in higher point games Gauss on Immortals becomes less and less ideal

Also, Tesla Immortals combined with a Stalker are nasty. Don't be shy to shoot the Stalker at a deadly infantry unit, even though it might seem like a waste, marking them will let your immortals chew them up like nothing

Yeah I definitely like the tesla being assault, and with twin linked from the stalker that means more sixes.

put the immortals back to 8 each and up the wraiths to 5 and get a pistol for that model, so you can maximize wounding.

Interesting idea, for wound allocation? I just want to avoid putting all my eggs in one basket with the wraiths, but heres what that list would look like:

    HQ
Destroyer Lord - Sempiternal Weave, Mindshackle Scarabs = 160

    Elite
    Triarch Stalker - Heat Ray = 150

    Troops
    8 Immortals - Tesla Carbines = 136

    9 Immortals - Tesla Carbines = 153

    Fast Attack
    5 Wraiths - 1 Particle Caster, 3 Whip Coils = 210

    Heavy Support
    Annihilation Barge = 90

    Annihilation Barge = 90

    Total: 989

    Re: Necrons - 1000pts

I too am concerned about the amount of anti-tank you have. What if you face a guard army? It would not surprise me to see a russ or two and a gun line. Sure they have weak side armor, but their front will ignore all but one ranged attack you have. What about a predator... perhaps even other necrons? This is a tournament after all, it would not be unsurprising to see a catacomb command barg flying around and obliterating your vehicles.... lol or a list with annihilation barges with the game winding down to the barges and everything else dead.

On the other hand the rational that it is only 1,000 points is also valid. A unit of gauss immortals will more than likely not make or break the match so I spose it really does not matter.... but please write about your experience, will be interesting to see the types of armies you face (lets just say that hoard will be taking some hurt).
My army is slowly making its reanimation protocol rolls. So far I have to re-attach half my original forces back together from various arms, legs, claws, green energy, skull heads, three seemingly disintegrated tomb spyders, and a bisected c'tan.... man those orks gave me a beating.

The last list you posted is really a very balanced. SLeepy is worried about your AT but i don't know if he/she is thinking about the D-Lord and wraiths as AT. In reality this unit is one of the best for dealing with av13+ we have that is still versitile enough to contribute in other areas. Your list looks solid. It's going to need some play testing for you to figure out what you need for your own play style, but you have a good starting point.
