Kit Bashed Necron Heavy Destroyer - Opinions Please

This will be my first 40k army and as much as I like most of the Necron models I don't really like the old Destroyers too much so thought I might have a go at kit bashing my own version


I wanted it to look and feel like a kind of baby attack helicopter with a gun slung under the nose.

Anyway


The Necron is hardwired in at the back so he can fly the thing by thought
He has a joystick in his right hand to steer the gun
And a big RED button under his hovering and poised left hand - I am sure you know what happens when he presses that ...


Opinions please - does this work ?

Cool conversion. It looks like you've done a lot of work on it.

The gun placement seems a little... suggestive, to me. That's the only part I'd change.

right i love it and so going to have to borrow this idea. can we have a run down of parts used please. only thing i dislike is the large gun if it was smaller it would suit it a lot better IMO, but its your model/conversion so do what you like

I love the main body shape, it looks very Matrixish. But the pilot looks annoyingly like a canoeist riding in it Have you tried it with a more traditional weapon mount, i.e. replacing the Necron's arm? Fluffwise, it would make even more sense for the Necron to be incorporated completely inside the body, but I suspect that would result in LoS arguments

Is the downward curve of the body forced by the fit of the parts? I hope not - I'd like to see a whole squad of these, all curving snakily in different directions.
