    Got a League starting up - need help on lists

    So I am potentially taking part in a 10-week Mordheim league starting up in a few weeks. We are getting together this weekend to play a few refresher games to get everyone familiar with the rules again, so I have time to try out my lists and adapt things as necessary. That said, I am having trouble deciding between two different themed lists that I think might be fun. I haven't played Mordheim in many years, so I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could offer any insight and/or advice on how each list should/could play, and any way I might improve their effectiveness without sacrificing the theme.


    For the first list, I am doing a true "Robin Hood' theme using the Outlaws of Stirwood, using models I have converted for the various characters (no, not the old Brettonian models, these are all plastics).

    For the second list, I was thinking well-equipped Tilean Mercenaries, using the Marienberger rules. The characters will all be "duellists" using the Vesparo's Vendetta models. The remainder of the force will be some Marksmen with crossbows and a few "hangers-on" who just follow the more aristocratic Tileans around in hopes of catching a few scraps of the spoils.

    I'm sure there's a Tilean list out there somewhere. Though I don't now if you group is allowing much outside of the official warbands.

    Both look a little different from the usual stuff you see. More mobile shooting in the first and nice and fluffy in the second.

    The first is a bit... boring though? Everything is kinda the same (longbow spam), while the Tileans would be much more challenging to play, especially since you have a combat core backed up with 'immobile' shooters. So I say the Tileans.

    Thanks for the comments. I am playing the refresher games today, so we'll see how it goes. I intend to play some games with each list and see which one I find more interesting.

    I haven't seen any Tilean lists, but even if I found one, I am not sure it would fit my models.

    Just an FYI - the "Outlaws of Stirwood" actually REQUIRES bow spam - every model with the exception of the Cleric (and any hired swords) MUST take a bow of some kind. I chose Longbows so I could hopefully out-range my opposition and really take advantage of this requirement. (The Cleric can take a bow, but doesn't have to, so I chose for him not to.)
