I really like (most) FW stuff but I do get frustrated that occasionally they don't complete model ranges from their books, but then neither do GW, maybe it's just in their financial interests to move onto something new & exciting rather than keep going with individual books models for months after the book is released?

Either way if anyone from FW is reading this - I want my dread saurian (that looks just like the artwork)
    Me want Bull Centaurs.
Plog of Jericho - Wood Elves, Daemons, Beastmen, CSM and Whatnot.

MD: You got a christmas gift?
House: Yeah, 'cause I worship Santa. Or wait, is that Satan? I always get them mixed up.

Also note that it was featured in a Donald Duck story by Don Rosa. Donald glued cardboard wings on a deer to scare the nephews.

I seen to recall some (rather excellent) Black Guard models for 4th Ed - released about a year before 5th Ed. The Executioners however despite being in WD a couple of times never appeared apart from a limited release at US Games Day some 4 years later and the Dark Riders that were featured on the inside cover of the army book never appeared at all as the bodies were deemed "too short".

I have the feeling we're going to be seeing the Peryton (I've decided "Preyton" was just a spelling error no one caught ) in a lot of "Counts As" roles. It's going to see some duty as Varghulf/Abyssal Terror for me.

If people are so concerned about whether or not WF will release all the models, why don't they ask on the FW Facebook page? You might get an answer, which beats speculating.

Yeah I am old and forget things... Of course that were Executioners! As for the Dark Riders - I heard that they were not "proper" models but conversions only. Still, proper DRs did turn up before 6th Edition (and are used to this day).

I doubt that Preyton is a misspelling, I think they played with the word to get Prey in it, which sounds a lot more sinister. & yeah I agree, will myself use it as a counts as Varghulf/Jabberslythe when not using its own rules.

Oh, I wasn't being entirely serious, I just dislike the "Preyton" spelling

I dislike Peryton myself, my mind goes straight to 'peri peri' then I get hungry. I really like the Preyton model, but not the paintjob, nearly put me off the model 'til I looked at the unpainted pictures.

One of my fave Donald Duck stories.

On topic: I find the model excellent, it is really creepy as hell, like someone said on page 1.

I'm pretty sure the name Preyton is there to ensure us nerds don't get too excited...

I can just imagin saying hey I'll be bringing my Beastmen army with the peryton, is that ok and my buddy getting all excited, because he heard me say hey I'll be bringing my Beastmen and the Perry twins, is that ok.

Just kidding, it sounds more sinister as stated above, and it helps diferentiate GW's stuff from other game systems.

Of course, they can't copyright "Peryton" as the monster already appeared in the AD&D Monster Manual, but they can copyright "Preyton" which is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT of course.

Well, they can go ahead and copyright that one, nobody will care I think.

Well excepted Puma. I think Puma might have more backbone than GW, too
