How many painted and based points do you have versus how many assembled points

Must be old school but playing against unpainted figures does not do it for me. The whole point of the hobby for me is the visual impact and the game.

So how many points of each army do you have and play with and what portion is painted. I have unpainted units but they will never see the table unless they are painted and based.

necrons are nearly 2k, of which about 30% is 'base coated' (basic colours, not detail/shading/highlighting) and 40% is finished. the rest just undercoated. have a dark angels army somewhere spread around several peopls flats (people keep borrowing stuff to proxy for various MEQ lists) which are about 80% done.

i'm terrible for 'nearly' finishing any army before either taking a break from the hobby or getting distracted by a new shiny (getting really bad tyranid itchings at the moment). frequently these 80% completed armies get sold before ever getting finished... once i've started something new i rarely ever get the enthusiasm back to finish an old project. this has only been going on for about 15 years

Next on the agenda is my Flames of War Americans, SAGA Skraelings and 28mm WW2 Germans...all 0% painted

All of my assembled 40K models are painted. Odd to say, but true. So... gosh, I have no idea how many points that is. IG alone, it's about about 11,000. Add in the Sisters of Battle and Chaos, and a handful of Marines, and it's probably about 20,000 all told.

These days my collection is much smaller, I have a single Space Marine army. Roundabouts 3,000 points assembled, and about 2,800 points painted out of maybe 4,000 points total. I won't field an unpainted model either.

younger beppo: a lot poorly painted, but never unpainted (I also live in a 40k world where miniatures must be painted to play, what's the point if it isn't pretty to look at)
older beppo: never buy anything new, until what I'm currently painting is done, or near finished

Everything is painted but back in the day i hated baseing so alot of old stuff isnt based just green basses because that was the thing back then, looks so ugly now.

However everything in my SW army is painted and based and same for my necrons.

2000 points of Tau painted - another 1000 points in various stages of being painted, every thing is at least undercoated.

2500 Points of Chaos Space Marines fully painted - another 1000 points possibly a bit more than that unpainted, i will be doing a Major repaint of the army though when the new Chaos book comes out as Iron Warriors seem extremely common among CSM players.

Guard i have 2 Squads of Vostroyan infantry full painted and one Chimera half painted and another 1500 points worth of stuff totally unpainted. They are being worked on as we speak!

Chaos Marines: I'd say around 5000 points. All unpainted save for one Daemon Prince.
Space Marines: Around 4000 points I think, probably around 2.5-3k is painted (badly).
Eldar: About 1800 points, all unpainted.
Grey Knights: 1500 points, all unpainted.
Chaos Warriors: Around 7000 points I think, with around 2000 of that (including Archaon ) painted.
Daemons (fantasy): About 4000 points, all unpainted.
Ogres: About 2000 points, all unpainted.
Orcs & Goblins: Around 3500 points, all unpainted.
Lizardmen: About 5000 points, all unpainted.
Empire: 3000 points, almost all painted! Just got to do a warrior priest, engineer, 3 demigryphs and a steam tank. Ok, mostly painted then, not almost all...

So, yeah... I like buying and building models, but painting is boring.

Tau 4-6k painted if you include the manta as painted even though I went back and redid some of it that's not repainted (Likely never will).

IG is kind of a sore spot... but 2k unpainted

Modeling and playing are way more important then painting. Also not nearly as boring.

Its amazing how the amount of painted models increses with every GW price increase. Instead of buying new cool toys I have to paint the ones I never gave any love to and just settle for them looking like new.

I'm happy to say that most of my stuff is painted. Not sure to what number of points my whole IG stuff amounts to. I suppose it's around 6000pts now in total has quite a lot of unpainted minis (a valhallan army, mordian, tallarn and cadian platoon each and some odds and ends) so I probably got about 4500pts of those guys finished and painted (many of them require repainting though). I started repainting all my IG tanks about two years ago so they used to be fully painted and are now back to being half-painted. Most of my SoB army is painted, most of the Orks are as well.

In terms of Dark Elves I think I lack two more regiments that need painting and that's it really. My Infinity guys are also about 70% painted. Just putting together an Epic army (based off the smaller 6mm platoon-level forces I did for playing Tomorrow's War) which is almost fully painted (at least the models I got so far).
