FLGS Event? [CLOSED]

Hello,

A FLGS said there is going to be a major release on the 23rd, and they are having a special party to celebrate the event. I said to him the Warseer consensus is that Pre-Order seems to be on the 23rd... and he acts as if the Rulebook is going to be released on the 23rd. If it is like my FLGS Manager states, then wouldn't there already be a 7 day early preview on GW website?

My local store will also host an event as well on that date, but from what he told me, he will have the book, but only one store copy.

He tells me they will run demo games with the new rules, on the 23rd and after.

From some exemples here, it might be that some stores manager are themselves falling to the marketing speech of GW and wrongly believe that the 23rd will be the release date, confusing maybe the fact that they will get a demo version with the true release ?

Yep, that's what I was told at the local GW shop. 23rd is preview and pre-order day.

What a freaking mess GW has made on this one. Here we are a week from a "major" event with zero details. While I can honestly say I am disappointed in GW, can't say I am surprised. Again, I 99% sure no one will get their paws on a book that night at any event. This is a preview and preorder night. Buy your white dwarf and go home night.
