After a friend losing my former renegade army on a train station I have bought new ones and taking some old pieces.

This is my list with what I got at home.

HQ command squad.

Thinking about removing plasma pistol and a crew from the medusa siege gun also I have to remove the bolt pistols since I have not veteran so I got 20pts to spend on something?

what army list are you generating this from?

and at 500pts, what kind of games are you playing?

I am generating it from the updated Renegade and Heretics list avaible on Forge Worlds download section. The points cost for the medusa siege gun I got from The Dkok list.

Usually we just kill each other or hold objectives. We use killpoints to decide when the other person have lost. Not that much cover just some buildings and small small objects like barrels.

The board is still pretty large though.

Thinking about expanding the list with a leman russ to 750pts. If there is some points left I am planning to use them to expand the Alpha legion squad

Making the Alpha Legion mobile seems like a good option, it's where I would go for adding to the army. and then doubling them. plus another long range for hitting up to 750, though points costs will ned to be jiggled around for that I suspect.

Seems like you have the basics covered though.

Will have to check the updated list on FW, though, with the new edition out, it may need yet another update...

Yes I might. The alpha legion squad are infiltrators though.

Yeah I dont really dare to look at the new rules when I get them. It might ruin all my armies.

Would still look to add another squad and some more long range at 750, at 500 though, looks solid.

Of course I will at least expand the squad and get something more long range.

No not yet. The whole army is waiting for me at home in a box. Going home in a few days to build it all together.

I am also building my missus space marine army as a side project.
