There are plenty of other alcoholic drinks. They could make cider from fruit or mead from honey.
It has been mentioned in the fluff several times. Although I am sure they make meads and ciders too.
Yeah GotF mentions Wood Elf win a fair few times, as well as it's potency. It's still a good read after about 7/8 years for anyone who doesn't have it.

There is a bit of talk about wine in Caledor which I assume, that knowledge stayed with the elves that Malekith took to the main continent and stayed in Athel Loren; they retained that knowledge and kept up the practice?
There are a couple things in Caledor which touch on grounding elf society so we can relate to it. University talks etc.
