    I seriously doubt you will be able to take 4 HQs and 6 Heavies with this new Ally system. If I had to guess I would say that you may take up to 1 HQ, 1 Elite, 2 Troops, 1 Fast Attack and 1 Heavy Support from one other Codex, but still not exceed the basic Force Organisation Chart.

    Per my previous post, this is covered in WD too... both sides have 3HQ, Chaos has 4 Heavy.

    Neither side has more than one of each slot type within it's Allies auxiliary, but there's nothing to indicate whether that's a rule or coincidence yet.

    Could be you can go over, then. Could be Gee Dub messed up the rules in their playtest as they are wont to do.

    If you can ally, I expect my Haemonculi coven will have several allies. And by 'Allies', I mean 'things whose genetic code I twist like Chubby Checker."

    I think until we actually see the rules, it's all just wild conjecture. No need to get worked up over anything.

    ...Then again, this is Warseer we're talking about.

    Well, even if the allies rules are "optional" (and after that white dwarf, I really doubt that they are), I'll still be using them in my normal games! I'll just do what I did in fantasy before the Tamurkhan book was released, simply ask my opponent (before anyone gets any models out) if they mind my using the allies rules to take some daemons in my army. Obviously wouldn't be trying that in any tournament, but I've yet to encounter anyone who objected to me using the allies rules or the Tamurkhan rules in a normal game.

    Looking forward to having daemons fight beside my chaos marines again (hell, looking forward to maybe using my chaos marines again...)! Bought a soul grinder today, should go nicely with my defilers; got to love daemon engines!

    Just as long as it lets me take a Bloodthirster, Bloodletters and Flesh Hounds again in my World Eaters army like I could back in the 3.5 Codex, I will be happy. My biggest concern when the current CSM book came out was that it took out all of the GD and LD flavours and made them generic. It drove me to the point of not touching my Chaos army for years.
