Rocket exaust

I want to have one of my tau crisis suits jumping using his jet pack and I want to have some rocket exaust coming from the rockets but I'm lost as to how to do this or what to use im not very experienced with sculpting , I'm woundering how I can make the rocket exhausts any help would be great

Armorcast has a range of rocket exhaust, muzzle flashes, etc. They come in multiple sizes as well, so hopefully you could find something you like.

Clump foliage could work, but depending on the material it can be a bitch to paint (and isn't necessarily durable).
