Wow, great work, I live the Contemptor!
Wow, superb work on everything. I really must add some Word Bearers to my Black Legion force soon. What specific paint did you highlight the armor with? It looks orangish to me, which seems odd at first, but I think it works pretty darn well.

Just to echo everyone else, this is a great plog you've got going, really looking forward to seeing where this goes so consider me subscribed!
5 stars from me!
By far the best word bearers log on the entire interwebs! Consider me a fan

Just had to say these look stunning, very impressed indeed. I really must crack on with my pre-heresy WB, and now formulate a plan for a full on chaos WB force
Really nice, how did you do the trim on Domos? I'm thinking of getting one for my Thousand sons and I was planning on adding similar trim.
One of the best, if not the best chaos contemptor conversions I have seen.
Clean and sharp yet gritty, all in all fantastic
Thanks for all your comments everyone; very cool.
The gilding was made was made with plasticard (StripStyrene 0.015 x 0.100 size), carefully cut with a brand new ultra sharp scalpel. The little bolts were some plastic rod cut into tiny disks. It wasn't too hard except for the feet as they were curved.
I'll have some more Bloodletters to upload tomorrow, but my camera's charging tonight.
Cool stuff mate ! Keep it up !
I really like what you've done here. With the onset of 6th ed's ally rules I'm probably going to add a Word Bearer contingent to my Daemon army, and your scheme is exactly what I'm looking for.
Great stuff, I'll be lurking regularly for updates.
Very very nice indeed, good stuff mate.

Inspired me to do a Crusaders of chaos armylist. Containing my traitor guards as a base and adding 2 squads of marines, 1 hero and terminators squad with Word bearers scheme.
Is it okay to borrow your Dark apostle idea?

I've been busy this weekend. I've made some progress on the Rhino but it's far from done (deep into the "ugly silver" zone). However, I've finished 5 models off.
Bloodletters of Khorne with Icon:
A trio of the Daemons and their Icon.
Icon of Chaos Glory:
For the 2nd Coterie of Space Marines. Notice the bloody hand prints? Many a guardsman was sacrificed to bless this holy relic!
Word Bearer armed with Bolt Pistol and Chainsword:
Just a guy.
I'll try to finish the Rhino before next weekend's 6th Ed launch.
Swear every log on here makes me want to strip my Thousand sons and repaint them :P Love the plasma gun and icon.
Really awsome banner
That Khorne banner looks just perfect !
I am so in love with this army, I've got all these saved from flickr from a little while back. It couldn't be done better. EVER.
Awesome stuff here! It's funny, but I started my Word Bearer's in exactly the same way. Nothing like a fun escalation league to get you motivated to paint. I will be following this closely. Heck, I might have to take some pictures of mine and join the fun... though they aren't quite as nice as yours.
If you are curious as to what lists I ran, or how they did, my battle reports are Here.
Project Tomb World: Here
A Cohort of Bloodletters
I have finally completed the 10 Bloodletter Daemons, ready to attach to my 700 point list to make it 900 points. The larger horned Daemon will act as a Herald of Khorne, accompanied by 9 other Bloodletters.
Enough of Daemons for a while, next up is the Rhino, a few more marines and 2 missile launcher armed Battle Brothers to provide some ranged heavy support.
I'll get onto those this weekend. Sorry there's not been much activity of late, but life's been busy!
