I saw the first picture and actually said "Oh wow" out loud. Totally stunning work.
Everything here looks brilliant but that Contemptor Dread looks perfect. Absolutely epic conversion there and the painting is straight out of the top drawer![]()
Lovely army! The Blood letters are beautiful.
Very nice painting abilities you have here, Rovient, keep up the really good work.

wow, i'm very much impressed. as i've said on another thread recently, i rarely end up in the chaos forums (straight loyalist and ork player myself), but opened a thread for my brother'S warbands, so here i am.
to be honest, i don't like word bearers much and can't feel the jive that's going on with them in the past 2 years or so, but these are pretty as hell.beautiful painting, awesome banners and great osl. sign me up for this, i wanna see more.

Update:
Thanks again for all your kind comments; they're incredibly motivating for me! So, another update.
Word Bearer Rhino:
I'm going to be honest here; I hate painting tanks. This was incredibly tough to finish and I'm not entirely happy with the result. However, I am please to have it completed (bar purity seal on the gunner, gloss work and some other final touches).
Anyway, it's done!
Havoc with Missile Launcher:
After several games at 700 points and one at 900 points, I started to feel that my force lacked any ranged killing power. So, I've been working on filling out both units to 10 men, with a Missile Launcher in each unit. That should provide some nice anti-transport and anti-horde for now... until I get the Soul Grinder painted up, that is!

Absolutely amazing work. Best Word Bearers I have seen so far. Keep it up!
Really awesome stuff, and Domos looks superb! you might have pushed me over the edge of buying a Contemptor.
Oh, and are the shoulder pads from FW or GW? I can't seem to find them on the FW page, and I assume the GW ones are for the old 3ed marines (which would make them too small for current day marines).
But I just have to ask. Why are you not painting the cables and such on the backpacks and helmets in a separate colour? I don't want to seem picky, but the paintjob looks great so you obviously know how to paint well, so leaving them red just makes me curious?

"It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies."
- Colonel Walter E. Kurtz
Hey man, awesome work. Probably the best Word Bearers and Daemons ive ever seen. Better than Eavy metals for sure. Can I ask how you did your letters and their banner, it looks amazing.
Angron's hobbies include crochet and flower pressing - but he does them with barbed wire and his face, respectively.
How does it stay in the air? Oh, it's powered by pure handwavium
Quick, let me take my (Mat) Ward save!
I am loving that Rhino though....i dont think it needs any more work...but its your tank so...
I get you dont like painting tanks...me neither...im not much of a tank user myself...but you sure made this one look special....
keep it up because its a lot of fun to follow this log!
The shoulderpads are metal and bought from GW - they fit perfectly so perhaps they adjusted the size for the newer marine models.
Regarding the cables and pipes; you're not the first person to ask that! To be honest, it never occurred to me to paint them differently. I assumed they were just as much a part of the armour as the rest of the model, but I can see how that was a bit stupid since I bothered painting the rubber tubing on the inside of the arms and legs, so why not the pipes? I doubt I'll change now since I can't be bothered to go back and do them on the rest of the models, and if I did it on new ones they wouldn't match!
Certainly not intentional. And picky is good! Be picky! It's the only way any of us can hope to improve.

Great work, and thanks for the tutorial on your wold bearers, good reminder that neatness is always the best course.
and don't worry about the pipes; The style you have is great without making the colors too busy; It helps draw attention to the cloaks, banners etc.
