    Troll Forged's first "Trollcast" release

Didn't see this posted yet so I thought I'd link it. Troll Forged has finally got their spin cast plastic up and running and have released their first set with it. 10 armoured goblins for $10. I really like these guys, they've got that "Froud" look to them. Think I'll be ordering a set once my tournament painting scramble is finished.

Finecast appears to have inspired a trend of more and more companies releasing nice minis made with cheaper materials (Warcast, Trollcast, Bones), all of which are more promising than finecast itself.

Trollcast, at least, was in the works before finecast showed up in public IIRC. A lot of people were interested in a material and process cheaper than skyrocketing tin and plastic injection, and tougher than the usual resins. GW can't even claim that.

These are kinda charming and of course the price is fantastic.
It'll be interesting to see where this Trollcast thing goes and if it truly is as revolutionary as they claim.

Ed's casting my film puppets in Trollcast, and I can't wait to get them - ill certainly post pictures of the casting quality and give my opinion : but I am confident in his skills and talents that what he promises will be true. I certainly can't wait to get my own wargame up and running using this material as well. Exciting times ahead.

I quite like them, hopefully there's more on the way.

They'd make cool hobgoblins in the Warhammer Forge legion of azgorh list. Sadly, they can't have these weapons, or even spears! Ah well, might do it anyway.

Here is the second release in Trollcast: the re-release of the Alien Brains.

Just saw these guys on another forum and I love them! The remind me of the movie "Labrynth." I'll keep these in mind for when I turn my attention back to the Greenskins. I mostly play forest goblins/savage orcs, but I'm sure I can find a way to make room for a few armored gobbos in there!
The great thing about the dwarves is that, even though there's this comic element, when they fight - they really fight!

Divide by six, convert into pounds... £4.30 per giant gribbly monster! That ain't bad - less than some 28mm humans from 'boutique' sellers.

Excellent, now I hope Grimstonefire's Chaos Dwarfs will get cast in a reasonably short matter of time.

    Funny gobbos, by the way.

Some more detail on Trollcast, seems like a nice material.

I'm can't remember how much he used to charge for the goblins and the alien but I think he has halved the cost. Release those mutants for $1.50 and I'll buy an army.
