Or it sold so well they've already exhausted the limited print run, they seem to be doing more of these single run products recently such as Dreadfleet, space hulk etc. and once they're gone they're gone. May not be the case here of course but we have no real way of knowing.

There is rumors of a plastic daemon wave with Plaguebearers and Furies in plastic, and Blue Scribes in Finecast, as well as a few other things, so maybe the Flamer is getting a new plastic kit?

On the daemon front, there are also rumors that all four greater daemons are/will be redone in plastic with parts for their character versions next year.

Badlands was a limited release. Most places by me sold out several months ago.

Regarding Blood in the Badlands, it was sold out here in Belgium in a couple of days, same thing for the FLGS in Maastricht, has only been available on the Maelstrom website for a week, and has been marked as sold out on the GW french, belgian and UK websites for more than two months already ... so that one looks more like cleaning the lists than anything else.

About Black Library books : with print-on-demand and eBooks, those get out of production even faster than before, but even ten years ago (when I started collecting them), most of them were "one print run only", and got sold relatively fast (the only exception so far being the Horus Heresy series).

Now, the Flamers ... since they have had a relatively recent FineCa$t re-release, I'm surprised to see those go ... but if the rumours about plastic goodies for Daemons are true, then it could make sense : those are indeed on the "no-brainer, always take the max of those" cookie-cutter lists of IntarTubes Wizdomz ...

Take with a truckload of salt, I say.

I just clicked on the link and it says dispatch in 3-4 weeks. This is for the US site.

BTW, local indie store still had a box of Flamers. Picked it up as well as something for my eldar, and the new Scorched Brown replacement (Rhinox hide, a bit darker than Scorched brown). I now have 12 Flamers of Tzeeentch for my fantasy army, the most I can field IIRC...

If the flamers get new plastic models that will be the last push I need to start a Daemons army in fantasy. It's the one staple unit I don't really like for Daemons.

*fingers crossed* Need a GUO and Plaugebearers but hate the metal.

I have this gut feeling that Daemons are going to get a White Dwarf work over sometime in the near future - nothing to back that up just a hunch.

Eh. With the pdf of the full rulebook still available, it doesn't matter if they kill off the print edition or even if at some point in the future they discontinued the minis altogether as well. Plenty other mini comanies and even some Shapeways people do some very nice minis suitable for Necromunda. (Lets face it, there are a million reasons not to bother with a print rulebook when you have a downloadable version from which people can print the pages they need for quick reference and take them along to games where they can place them all face up without needing to flick through a book and hold it open)

This probably isn't worthy of a separate thread, but the new 40K rulebook has a unit type entry for 'chariot'. Currently, the only chariots in that game are the Daemon chariots (which of course are the same as in FB). Previously, the chariots weren't separate unit types and turing them into a new type might suggest that they are getting a bit of attention and that official models will be out before too long.

    True.
That said, both Daemons and Necrons have 'em already, and if they're getting BRB rules, they are quite likely to be pushed out to other armies, as well.

I know all this. It's just, the way GW is putting into oblivion great games like Necromunda or Blood Bowl... it's kinda sad.
