Hey all, i have recently decided to play Warmachine, this is due to myself becoming bored of Warhammer/Warhammer40k. me and 5 other freinds have started to play as well. we have covered a few of the armies out withing the group. Cryx, Khador, Cygnar, Skorne and everblight, and i chose to go with Menoth.

this is my 25 point list that i want to play, so please give any tips and advice as i am a new player. also i have never played the game, I have only watched battle reports of it.

My biggest bit of advice would be to start with some battle box games to simply get a feel for the game after that then head up to the high points value.

Another thing you could try is to run a journeyman league between your friends. This will get you motivated to paint as well as play the some games.

Finally I would get in contact with the Press Ganger for the area and get a demo game =)

it looks like he as at least the contents of the 2-player starter set, if not that's a fine starting force. worst case scenario, he would just need to proxy a repenter.

I have ordered the 2 player starter box, though it is taking ages to arrive I wanted to jump into 25 point as in battle reports that I have watched it seemed to be a good place to start. you may think " you have the 2 player started box, why don't you use the cinerators and the repenter?) well my answer to that is, I do not like the models, it is as simple as that lol. so I thought to replace them with models that I do like. also splitting the box between me and my friend, then another person is buying the cinerators of me for £15 means I get a lot of stuff for dirt cheap.

Concerning the list (since that is what you wanted advice on) I think it looks rock solid. Errants are amazing and pKreoss makes them even better on his feat turn. You have two good jacks as well, and the standard support pieces that should always be there. The only thing that I can recommend trying is swapping the Vanquisher for a Reckoner. That gives you a better assassination shot when you feat, but it takes away some infantry killing potential.
