The Ork Flakk-fortress is looking pretty nasty, what with mounting 3 quad-guns on a 3SP superheavy.

In the experimental rules that were still out a month back, the Storm Eagle (A variation of the storm ravens but better looking and with longer range FPR) is available to SM, Dark Angels, Black Templars and Space Wolves. I think it even has rules to be used by Chaos (in the exprimental ones it was possible anyway).
Thanks you! I am loathe to spend on the book, if it won't be useful, so it would be in FW's (and even GW's) best interests to really make these things clear for those of us that aren't omniscient.
I am understandably hesitant to buy a book to find out if there is anything in it that will be useful to me. If the advertisement made it clear I would know that and make an informed purchase.

The stormeagle seems to be in many ways superior to the Stormraven. This makes me weepy inside.
The Lynx won't be a flyer. It will be rather a surface AA-unit.
We are returned!
An enormous Eldar multi-missile launcher would suit me for the Lynx. It already kinda reminds me of several Japanese shoot-em-up space fighters in video games, so the ability to go all "Macross missile massacre" with it is VERY appealing...
@BlackLegion: it was a flyer, previously, with Hover mode... so that seems unlikely, to me.

I would expect the Avenger Strike fighter today. GW have put it up on their blog and I would imagine FW will send out a newsletter later today
Well i have just ordered the book.
We are returned!
The thunderbolt was originally apocalypse only (probably due to the rules for flyers).
Any indication that a lot of them will be squeezed in to normal 40k games?
All of them will as long as they aren't super-heavies.

really looking forward to the rules on that avenger,
and the changes to the old ones ofcourse, hope that my lightning and vulture will be worth takign in normal games and not just apoc sized ones...
iam wondering tough if i should order myself that avenger or consider a second lightning (this time to do a bit better justice to it as the one i have was my first FW kit almost 12 years old now) i need some more anti air i think, but i wonderi f the avenger with the GW 6th RB rule that zooming flyers can choose to ahve the skyfire rule might make the avenger better at anti air now...
or would they be add in a rule to make sure it remains "ground target" focused?
The lightning certainly needs re-balancing against the Vendetta.
More points for fewer Hull points, fewer guns and no transport capacity? Right...
The Thunderbolt fighter has apparently become the flying Rhino; gaining +1 to front and side armour, and the ability to fix a jammed throttle by kicking it a couple of times (Rhino style "give up shooting to repair an immobilised result on a 6")
Avenger Bolt Cannon apparently Range 36" S6 AP3 Heavy 7
Interesting. Didn't think they'd up the armour on it. I like the unjamming though; not terribly useful but characterful.
Do you happen to know if it's been re-pointed?
Seems a bit over the top to me. Less a tank-killer than a marine (and MC) annihilator.Avenger Bolt Cannon apparently Range 36" S6 AP3 Heavy 7
