Psychic powers in the codex can be used in addition or instead of the ones in the main book.

So now that it is out... what are the US events tomorrow going to look like? I would like to see what the european events (particularly England) did/are doing.

I believe (at least judging by the cost) that it does include both books.

The cost of the Ultimate Bundle is exactly the same as the Collectors Edition + Gamers Edition + Psychic Powers cards + Templates. Bit tight of GW to make a £175 bundle and offer zero savings. At least the paint mega bundle saved you £1 and you got a case chucked in...

I caved and bought the Ultimate Bundle like a good Games Workshop drone. Sigh. At least I'll get a regular rulebook I can have banged and bruised.

I was going to buy the Collectors Edition but I just know one of my friends will one day tear it or spill something on it. Then its not as if they can buy me a replacement, might as well just get the regular book.

    ...for much longer, at least.

Collector's edition here. Managed to avoid the worst of the "ooh, shiny!" effect.

Artwork looks nice but I seem to be unusual in not really wanting a £45 rulebook. I'll wait and see what's in the starter set. But I suppose just one of you £175 guys makes up for ten of me considering the margins.

i gotta read it first, then decide on if i'm going to buy it. i've ignored most of the rumours about it. don't really want to be spoiled/disappointed/whatever.

This is Games Workshop. I'm always sceptical. I tallied up the costs with a calculator anyway and it turns out it costs the same as if I bought 'em all separate anyway.

Hugely tempted by the gamers edition but I promised myself 'no more impulse buys' I can wait for the starter set anyway (maybe)

Funny enough the collector edition is 60 SEK (about 6 Euro) more expensive then the gamers edition in Sweden... Think I'll hold out for the starter even if the gamer edition is tempting I don't really have any need for the satchel or the other stuff, even if the las-pack would be cool to have ^^

I'll most likely just pick up the regular book, but very excited for it. Looks very cool. Just cannot justify $200AU+ on one of the special ones.

Considering the templates and psychic cards, does anyone know if the psychic cards are necessary to use the rules for them, ie; are the rules all within the rulebook and the cards are just for easy reference in games? Or will I need to pick them up? As for templates... well, my 3rd edition templates are still going strong I might pick up the new ones as they look cool, but I'm concerned the lightning pieces might be a bit fragile and could snap. Also I would feel slightly weird having my flamers and missile launchers throw out lightning bolts but they do look great.

i ordered the collectors edition. In addition to having a different cover and being number, it seems to be printed on thicker paper.

    Re: 6th is live

So... for $75 you can get the rule book. And for another $50 you can get a carry bag and some dice...??? I don't get why I would want to do that...
Lets face it, by the sounds of things some of you people couldn't complete a game of snakes and ladders without running off to the internet to whine that snakes are broken and ladders are too powerful...

Might I suggest reading the rules before complaining about them? -Culven

    Re: 6th is live

The price of Collector's Edition, the Gamer's Edition, the templates, and the cards totals $288.75, so basically the Ultimate just includes everything... for not even a penny's discount.
