    Double Tournament Orks/Imperial guard 750pts

    40K Army: Imperial Guard
    Greetings, I will play with a friend in a double tournament this friday and needs some suggestions and ideas for our armylist. I am the Guardplayer and he is the ork player.
    We want this list to be quite competetive, we plan to win! Please help us out.

    Imperial Guard section 750pts

    HQ
    Company command squad, 2xGrenadelaunchers,60pts

    Troops
    Veterans 3x Meltaguns,demolitions, chimera 185pts
    Veterans 3x flamers, demolitions, chimera 170pts
    Veterans, 3x Plasmaguns,chimera 170pts

    Heavy support
    Demolisher, 165pts

    total 750pts

    Ork Section 750pts

    Hq:
    big mek with chock attack gun. 95 points

    Troop:
    deffdread with 2 additional dreadnaught close combat weapons. 105 points.

    Troop:
    13 grots with 1 runtherd. 49 points.

    Fast attack:
    3 warbuggies with twinlinked rockit launcher. 105 points.

    Fast attack:
    dakkajet fully upgraded. 150 points.

    Heavy support:
    looted wagon with boomgun. 105 points.

    Heavy support:
    3 killa kans with 2 rockit launchers and a big shoota. 140 points.

    Totalt 749 points.

    You're spending 415 pts on two squads with transports. Given the ork player has only one scoring unit, and a VERY fragile one at that, I'd want to be taking at least three veteran squads in chimeras, so as to ensure you can take and hold objectives. Lose harker, lose the demolitions, lose the heavy bolters( russ and CCS), and you have your three armed squads in chimeras.

    I edited the list. What do you guys think?
    I basically squesed in a plasmavet squad.

    How would you deal with multi storm Raven Lists? As Skimmers are the new thing at the moment I think you will be seeing them..?

    It is a very good point. I stripped the list down so removed the power weapon of the commander etc. I did make a discovery that if I removed the platoon and placed in 2 veteran squads with autocannons. I save 25 points and hit at BS4...

    Also without the power Weapon and flamer. I relieve 40 points which allows me to take the plasma sides to have some anti Terminator shiz in there. What you guys think?

    I though all troop choices could score, even walkers?
    Anyway I don't know anything about IG, but I love the ork list, though that gretchin squad is very, very squishy, they need to be running at least at 20, but 30 is better. As it stands I just don't see their effectiveness and I know the orks in this list are tailored for fire support but that squad really needs to be larger. I would drop 1 warbuggy and make the squad 20 grots and 2 runtherds.
    That is my only suggestion, Love the list and would love to know how it performs!!

    My favorite 750 orks list was 4x20 boys with nob with power klaw and boss pole and a wierd boy. Your ork list doesn't take advantage of what orks do best at low point values. They need to have enough people that killing everyone simply isn't the option.
