So, a Hellpit Abom rolls triple 5's. It is very close to the table edge. It moves with triples in a random direction. It moves off the table.
The only rules that I see are listed on pg. 27, "Off the table". It simply says that units are not allowed to move off the table with the exception of fleeing or pursuing.
This is neither of these cases.
My question is what should happen here.. Is the Abom off and not to return?
or does it stop 1 inch short of going off the board..
Mind you, that this rule also applies to Mangler Squigs, fanatics, and in rare circumstances Snotling pump wagons, and Spawn..
Naturally, there certainly are even more compulsory move models.. too many to list. The idea here is to obtain a clear and concise rule
on these cases from the book that states so...
From previous editions, 7th and before, if a fanantic went off the table it was deemed to be removed from play. However, victory points would not be scored unless you killed the night goblin unit.
The rules for this issue are nefarious at best. Any clarity that can be given to this particular situation would be great..
Many thanks for those who read and supply (from the rulebook) answers to these questions.
