A lot of it had been talked about in the past that the kit was coming, and this was heard around the time we heard about the Jabberslythe/Cygor/Ghorgon kits coming out, and now those kits have come and gone with still no word on the Hierotitan/Colossus kit. Did this get scrapped or is it planned for a cluster release for all the armies perhaps?
Thanks Arthur but I was kind of hoping for something a little more up to date. That's almost half a year ago. Is there any new information circling around about this?
Considering the Bone Giant kit became a finecast kit, I really doubt there is going to be a kit for the Heirotitan/Necrolith.
Sad, but GW doesnt seem to like giving TK updated models.

Possibly the latter of your original OP, there was talk of the WE Treeman too. It seems that the kits are made but as of yet havent been released for some unknown reason.

The unknown reason probably being they want to hold something back for the long run. Let's face it, at current rate, they will be done with updating army books in the near future. And then? Either making a new edition and restart the cycle... or keep it going for a while with new and awesome releases. So many gaps to be filled, so many horrible models crying for an update... Seriously that's what I hope wil happen. Break the vicious cycle of edition bleeding and outdated army books with overpriced units and incompatible rules requiring dozens of FAQ pages... please GW, the game is good as is, no more messing around! Despite being Finecasted, it's still labelled and sold as a Bone Giant, they didn't took the opportunity to updated the entry to be a Necrolith Colossus with that re-release. So I still think a kit will come, and this is just a temporary switch to get rid of the metal version in the time being.
Vampire Counts Army : At least 4000pts built, much more waiting for some love!
Tomb King Army : About 6000 pts of troops, all that is left is painting!

Yup, the actual Bone Giant model isn't sold as a Colossus at all, it's presented as a count-as on GW's website itself. It doesn't correspond to the entry anymore at all, as both the Colossus and the Titan are constructs, not huge skeletons. So I guess it will come eventually, as it happened for the Mangler or Beastmen's rares.
Given how good the Titan is as a unit in the TK army, and how potentially awesome the mini can be (look at the art in the TK book), it's surprising to me they haven't released the model yet.

Lack of Hierotitan model might be GW policy or a simple lack of coordination.
Anyway I think this is bad for them. I'm done waiting for this model.

Presumably the plastic Hierotitan / Colossus is being held back in wait for a good time to launch another TK wave. That army has a fair number of bits missing, does it not?
Missing? No. Pretty much just that is missing. Everything else has a legitimate model. Technically the bone giant and the collassus are the same thing so really the only thing missing is a heirotitan model.
I've heard yes it's done and shelved, and no its not and there won't be one for some time.
Examining the army, I don't know what "wave" it would be in unless they were modernizing the skeleton horsemen that no one uses because IMO they are the most horrible cavalry unit in the game.
NOTE: my use of the word "powergamer" is not meant as a derrogatory or inflammatory word used in a negative context. It is used to describe a type of player that uses power builds
There's a ton of stuff in the Tomb Kings lineup that needs updating, so I think a second wave is likely; it'd be an ideal model to spearhead an update. It really is a shame that it was omitted though, as it's a fun monster for the list, and while people have made some great conversions it'd be much nicer to have a proper model!
As for what the wave could include; they could do with a new Tomb Scorpion, Screaming Skull Catapult, cavalry, tomb swarms. Plastic character kits wouldn't go amiss either, and that's just off the top of my head, so there's a ton of scope for a second wave.
Tomb Scorpion and Screaming Skull Catapult feel like kits that GW would want to make dual-purpose, so it's not clear when they'd be out, since it's a bit soon for Tomb Kings to get a White Dwarf supplement.

Missing from TK: colossus/hierotitan, Nekaph, Khatep, Ramhotep, AHW Ushabti (not that anyone should use them ...), and a modern Arkhan model.
Still say get on and do your conversions GW give you plenty of bits from other kits...
