    "Gamer's Edition" officer's satchel

    Hi everyone -

I have a question in regards to the Gamer's Edition that so quickly sold out on pre-order. Typically, GW sells a lot of hobby supplies that are repackaged versions of generic items. For instance, the official GW foam cutter, model glue, or sprue nippers, have generic equivalents on the market.

So, to that end, does anyone know of a generic version of the officer's satchel? I like the concept, but when I search for such a thing, I find myself on pages full of ladies purses...

Does searching for "Messenger Bags for men" give you the same result?

I bet Gamer's Edition bag will be Louis Vuitton analog in wargamers community. Gals love Louis Vuitton btw.

Plenty of suppliers make satchels either for gaming or other manly needs. although not with the Aquila or Chaos Star but then you can always add your own "bling". :-)

My particular satchel/messenger bag is outfitted with Umbrella Corporation iconography. It comes in handy for all of my dice/template/book-carrying needs.

I've also got a copy of Cole's backpack from Infamous, but that thing is far, far less practical.

If I really want a Warhammer-specific one, I'll pick out my own bag and get the icons from elsewhere.

The Gamer's Edition was tempting, but not at the asking price when you broke it down into the components.

Is this a new 40K version of the FB handbag? I can already imagine the sadsacks who'll drop their jobseeker's allowance on it and parade it around with thoroughly misplaced pride.

My messenger bag of choice is a Bag of Holding, but I'm sure there's other bags out there that are more wargame related and less general purpose gaming. Downside to the BoH is that it's just a bit too big to fit into my bike's saddlebags.

Indeed. One must not forget the Treeman Hammerhead with his Linear Branchcannon.
