    Full Inquisitorial 1850

    40K Army: Daemonhunters
So I have been convinced to start a new army from my circle of friends, and after a LONG debate, I've decided on Grey Knights, but going full inquisitorial. First, the list.

Another list. This one is better, I think

    Inquisitor Lord Coteaz

    Ordo Xenos Inquisitor
    -Force Sword
    -Rad Grenades
    -Psyker (Hammerhand)
    -Digital Weapons

    Vindicare Assassin

    Henchman Group 1
    6x Death Cult Assassins
    6x Crusaders

    Henchman Group 2
    6x Death Cult Assassins
    5x Crusaders
    Chimera

    Henchman Group 3
    2x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
    3x Warrior Acolytes with Meltaguns
    7x Warrior Acolytes with Bolters

    Henchman Group 4
    2x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
    3x Warrior Acolytes with Meltaguns
    7x Warrior Acolytes with Bolters

    Henchman Group 5
    2x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
3x Warrior Acolytes with Plasma Guns
    7x Warrior Acolytes with Bolters

    Henchman Group 6
    2x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
3x Warrior Acolytes with Plasma Guns
    7x Warrior Acolytes with Bolters

    Dreadnought 1
    2x Twin Linked Autocannons
    Psybolt Ammunition

    Dreadnought 2
    2x Twin Linked Autocannons
    Psybolt Ammunition

    Land Raider Crusader

    1848 Pts

Coteaz will ride in the Crusader with Group 1. Xeno will ride with Group 2 in the Chimera. The rest will set up in cover and blast away. It is very cut and dry. Very plain. I wonder if theres a way to make it more "fun" but keep it kinda the same.

    Re: Full Inquisitorial 1850

Revised the list, it had a lot of problems.

    Inquisitor Lord Coteaz
    100

    Ordo Malleus Inquisitor
    Hellrifle
    40

    Henchman Group 1
    6x Death Cult Assassins
    6x Crusaders
    220

    Henchman Group 2
    6x Death Cult Assassins
    6x Crusaders
    220

    Henchman Group 3
    1x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
    3x Warrior Acolytes with Meltaguns
8x Warrior Acolytes with Hot Shot Lasguns
    149

    Henchman Group 4
    1x Jokearo Weaponsmiths
    3x Warrior Acolytes with Meltaguns
8x Warrior Acolytes with Hot Shot Lasguns
    149

    Henchman Group 5
    3x Servitors with Plasma Cannons
Chimera with Multilaser and Heavy Bolter
    115

    Henchman Group 6
    3x Servitors with Plasma Cannons
Chimera with Multilaser and Heavy Bolter

    Stormraven
    Twin Linked Multimeltas
    Twin Linked Plasma Cannons
    205

    Stormraven
    Twin Linked Multimeltas
    Twin Linked Plasma Cannons
    205

Assault squads go in the storm ravens, inquisitors babysit the servitors, the rest of them set up somewhere in cover and mow down everything. Dreads can either get flown in by a stormraven closer or they can sit back and shoot. Thoughts?

Hellrifle OMI and servitors are fine, but I think you'd be better off with hull mounted heavy flamers on their chimeras. Sure, I understand why you're going for heavy bolters, but I think you'll end up going with the flamers like everyone else after you've played a few games, especially if you play on a proper board with a good 25% cover.

Hotshot lasguns were worse in most situations than storm bolters (and more expensive) under 5th edition rules - check them out thoroughly under the new 6th ed rules. You may find storm bolters are still superior, if not more superior (except at very short range) when wielded by BS 3 henchmen against MEQ (AP3 T4).

I have a feeling that meltagun henchmen may be outdone, or could be very much enhanced in their effectiveness, by meltabomb henchmen, due to the new assaulting-vehicles rules. I was always a fan of meltabomb henchmen, but I think 6th Edition will have buffed them. Haven't got the rulebook yet though, damn postal service.

The Jokaeros don't mesh very well with the mobile henchmen, as their weapons are mostly Heavy.

On the whole, I don't think you have enough anti-fast-vehicle ability (ie. something with a long range eg. autocannons).

    Re: Full Inquisitorial 1850

Since this I have updated my list time and time again. Let me know what you guys think. I got rid of some crap I didn't like, and decided a theme, sort of. An inquisitor sanctioned PDA, of sorts.

Have the Inquisitors ride with the CC Henchies in the Land Raiders, while their razorback acts as a light tank with its s7 Assault cannon, to pester the enemy mostly. The Henchies ride forward with their storm bolters and meltaguns, pew pewing away. I kept the Jokearo for added goodness of rending or +12" range. I may or may not swap one squad to have Plasma. A decent squad size to bunker in at an objective. Dreadnaught provides covering fire, though at this point I don't know why I include him, as he's the only stationary model in the army, but Psyflemen are too good to pass up. With every theorylist I build, the more I learn about this army. I know a lot of people swear by Psykers in rhinos, or some such, but I honestly don't like them at all.

    Inquisitor Lord Coteaz

    Ordo Xenos Inquisitor
Rad Grenades, Psyker (Hammerhand), Force Weapon

Might want to have that Xenos Inquisitor swinging a Force Axe for Ap2 in the unit. Or you could have crusaders doing it, I suppose (of course, this is mostly a case of modelling).

It's also damn near always giving your Redeemer a multi-melta. Power of the Machine Spirit means you'll always be firing it, at a different target if you wish.
