The Battle for Velocio

This is going to be the log of the building of my 40k table and my 3 armies who will be spilling blood on it.

Bit of Background first.

My marine army is a Homebrew chapter called the Crimson Raptors, a Raven Guard successor chapter whos homeworld is called Velocio, They are led by chapter master Ornethius Rondelet.

My orks are led by Warboss Udvik Von Ate'Ovven and has landed his boys on the deserts of Velocio with the intent of bashing any beakies he comes across.

There have also been sightings of shadowy clad warriors dragging citizens of Velocio screaming away into the night, rumoured to be the Dark Eldar kabal of The Bloodied Smile led by a viscous Archon known as Jarech Narpier.

For a start here is the first quarter of my gaming table finished late last night after a few brewskies.

Sounds intriguing. Are you going to be making pieces of moveable race-specific terrain for the 3 armies?

My Chapter master is named after Ornithology (the study of birds ) and Rondelet is a nod to Guillaume Rondelet who wrote some early groundbreaking stuff on birds and ornithology, Im hoping to get some army based specific scenery done, especially with the new fortification rules in 6th. I was hoping my copy of 6th would be here when I got home from work today but, nope late as usual......

There should be some updates in the next few days but Im working a lot so its gonna be slow to start off with, started the blog to motivate myself more.

Right, I said this log would be slow but it ended up being twice as slow due to me being trusted to cook people food and started training as a chef, Good for my career, bad for my hobby haha

BUT!!! I managed to get some stuff done, and as promised the finished board and a some terrain with some of my Orks thrown in
