    Re: Nids to Nots

Since this thread was titled "Nids to Nots" I'll slip off the topic of how to spam your weapons selection and give a general Nids comment.

Our regular group includes three Nid players, and none of them are a pushover. They all regularly held their own in 5th Ed, with armies with lots of heavy tanks being one of their biggest challenges. With 6th Ed that isn't as big a problem as it once was, so we'll see how the other rules shake out as we all get more experience with them.

In short, for all the justifiable griping about the Nid codex, they are and will remain a great army. My wife easily wins at least as many games as she loses and she's the Nid player with the least experience. I really don't think any army got screwed with the new edition.

You forgot one thing, and i think this does kind of shift the balance as I've witnessed this.....

RAGE USR changed dramatically!!!! Read the rule, then go read the FEED rule when your out of synapse

    Then quit whining and ADAPT

theres my opinion on it. When I watch a massive wave of hormagaunts tidal slam through a marine army and ya sure there were a good amount of casualties, but not as much as you might think if you kit the gaunts out right. ask yourself this, and this was the premise of the build: how many str 4 attacks can you generate on the charge with a hormagaunt OUTSIDE of synapse??? what kind of buffs can i give them to make them even more effective in CC???

hormagaunts are just an example. so to say that nids got mega screwed is a very closed minded statement. the rulebooks only been out a week and some change. chill out and say something constructive people
Those who shed blood with me shall be my Battle Brother eternal!!!

I hear there's a list out there with 5 Tervigons + Termagants, 90 toxin/gland Gargoyles and some Hive Guard that's messing up everyone's day in a local meta somewhere.

It turns out that people have trouble shooting down ~150 bodies or more with FNP plus MCs. Who knew?

Tyranids are fine. Their big problem was troops in transports, and that problem has been greatly mitigated. Not only are those troops easier to defeat, but being easier to defeat makes the models rarer on the field.

While Tyranids may have a better time handling vehicles and transports than they did in 5e, the fact that they'll be facing down many more pure infantry lists means that Tyranids will have a much easier go of it.

That lists sounds really sweet, very VERY swarmy. I can imagine it's hard to handle.

I can see GW being very enthused with that army. If you don't even count the termagants you would need for spawning due to the Tervigons you are looking at around 600 USD before taxes. Cha-ching. It does sound like it would be a lot of fun to run. I can't imagine trying to keep track of the Tervigon spawns alone.
It is better to have a gun and not need it rather than need a gun and not have it.
